Title:
gdb crashed with SIGSEGV in splay_tree_remove()

Status in “gdb” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: gdb

Hm. GDB didn't crash, it burned CPU and an attached strace didn't show
any activity. Totem crashed and apport attached GDB to the crashing
process. GDB then hogged the CPU for >20 minutes before I pkill
  -SEGVed gdb.
