I think I'm seeing this issue too, during manual use. The UI locks at

Apparently the host node was misconfigured to bind-mount all of /var
into click chroots. This is spectacularly invalid and will break the
world (including, probably, the host node, as dpkg inside chroots will

I observed the same problem in opensuse 13.1 from LO 4.2.0 on.
As the named qt-bugs were patched in my latest tests
(see http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=899045) I suppose that the
cause is on the libreoffice side.
I suppose no actual linux distribution works correct in this way.

lookup user by wbinfo works fine.
Login with domain user works fine.
kinit username works, too.
But cups-pdf with log level 7
