Thinking about this some more, we don't actually want to query/use
polkit when calling systemctl from maintainer scripts. These always run
as root, and it's not expected at all that they (potentially) ask
interactively for authentication. So we can call systemctl with --no-
ask-password to disable

My /tmp/apport_core_0p34bafe was ~100MB large. After the process terminated

On at least Xubuntu 16.04 a message saying that a stop job is running
for a user (the user account which was logged in to) sometimes appears
on shutdown (or reboot) and delays the shutdown process (by 90 seconds

Turned out it was the mtu setting directly on the vlan interface that
causes the problem:
auto eth1.2667
iface eth1.2667 inet static
address 10.245.184.20/24
vlan-raw-device eth1
mtu 9000
vlan_id 2667
mtu needs to be set on the underlying network device (eth1 in this
case).

correction - the mismatch between the underlying network device and the
vlan interface causes the error:

subsystem.
On arale, after jumping hoops to login, it seems to try to redirect to
the normal start page but all I see if a green quotes bubble. Seems the
page is not rendered properly.
