On my Lenovo X200s digital audio output does not even exist, put it is
present in the sound settings, and every time I plug in and then pull
out the headset, sound output switches to S/PDIF instead of internal
speakers, and I do not hear sound at all. I guess it is the same error.

In my case it helps to restart the service lightdm (sudo service lightdm
restart) - this works around 50% of the time, but in some cases the
system freezes afterwards and a hard reset has to be performed.
Another issue is that if the second monitor goes to sleep it is not
waking up afterwards.

It's easy to reproduce:
- log in an uptodate xenial system
- start a guest session
- close it
-> the greeter only has the custom a11y indicator
Looking a bit more it seems the greeter session bus fails to start which
makes indicators to bail out
Marking as "fix released" as after the introduction of colour emojis
(with OTA-12), thinking face emoji is working fine.

I note that the person asking the question seemingly never bothered to
create an Ubuntu bug, so it can't have
I think that in this day and age EGA console fonts are meaningless for
99% of the user base or more. I also think that if you remove the
functionality the remaining 1% will complain very loudly. However, I
suspect that many of those will have set up custom fonts to be loaded.
So my suggested fix
@penalvch: I added the requested information. However I have made some
normal updates since reporting the bug. I just tried it and it now
doesn't work at all (i.e. the workaround I described above doesn't work
any more).

user scrolls, as it does when I use two finger scrolling on the touchpad

Currently the dbus upstart script has this:
start on local-filesystems
But this makes the dbus startup fail if /usr is an NFS filesystem.
After changing the above line to:
start on remote-filesystems
dbus started working correctly.
This actually highlights the problem

That is a regression of sorts caused by a sleight of hand used to avoid
another bug. The commit in question would be
