Same here.
I'm running a 14.04.5 distribution and the problem has appeared after

I'm using the 'proposed' repository for Trusty, and a few packages have
been updated recently. I suspect it was caused by the following update:

Continuing my previous comment: after the update I got both 'cgmanager'

Tried to reinstall and reconfigure all recently updated packages, with
no result.

Ubuntu 18.04 may well enable (under review) 64bit,metadata_csum by

This creates all sorts of problems for compatibility/portability of

I'll try to get core dev's attention this week; it'd require a Feature

would be better to have it from the start - and decide on the default
installer/mkfs flags now rather than have users suffer later.

E2fsprogs 1.44.0 now depends on dpkg build-profiles, which means that
getting it backported to 14.04 LTS would require adjusting

consideration of going to e2fsprogs 1.43.9. This will get you most of

Regarding my comment #43:
The solution suggested in #46 doesn't work. While it does force 1920x1080, even

lspci -v does show "Kernel driver in use: nvidia" for the card, but
nvidia-settings behaves as if the driver is not loaded and glxinfo shows
Just had the idea to unload "glx" and see if I can Disable Composite

It works!
Here's my xorg.conf:

Section "Extensions"
Option "Composite" "0"
EndSection
I'll put my resulting Xorg.0.log as an attachment.
I don't understand the conflict between libcurl3 and libcurl4 too, why can't
they coexist?
Still wondering how to handle that while keeping opera.
