So, if I use pdftops-renderer=pdftops or pdftops-renderer=pdftocairo
nothing happens on the printer at all. If I use pdftops-renderer=gs the
printer prints the job with a non-standard paper size. If I use pdftops-
renderer=mupdf it fails, even if I have mupdf or mupdf-tools installed,
because
I take it back, there _is_ a difference.
When I use `lp -d duplex -o pdftops-renderer=gs` to print the file, it
does in fact print. I didn't initially notice because the printer was
telling me to insert a weird paper size and I had to override it and
tell it to use the default paper even though
Marking invalid as it's not technically a bug against avahi, but as
above, have arranged to have the issue looked at.

As I see the comments here, the fix is to modify the file /etc/ppp/ip-
up.d/usepeerdns according to comments #17 and #19. /etc/ppp/ip-
up.d/usepeerdns is part of the ppp package, so the bug needs to be

I did both testcases. There was no error detected in in testcase #1, and
no error detected in testcase #2, so things seem to work :-)

- There was a test installation of Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS in a Toshiba laptop with
