Ubuntu 22.04 currently includes exiv2 0.27.3
Exiv2 v0.27.5 includes support for Canon *.CR3 image files. The CR3 file
format has been the Canon camera-raw file format since mid 2018, and is
probably one
we will not change the ISA for the upcoming 22.04 LTS release, but do
the change not before the GCC 12 defaults change planned for 22.10.

I compiled several Ubuntu-5.13.0-x.x tags from

issue seems to go far back in time. I tested:

In
Updating NVIDIA driver from 460 to 470 messed up my system (even GRUB).
Making an parallel install brought GRUB back to life, but I was not able
to fix it. Even starting from pen drive only worked when using safe
grafic after the NVIDIA update. System is working since years (16.04,
18.04, 20.04).
