[Touch-packages] [Bug 2019970] Re: OpenSSL 3.0.2 crash in Ubuntu 22.04.2 LTS

2023-05-21 Thread Michael Baentsch
Thanks for trying to reproduce this. A crash can only be triggered with
two providers active. Your command "OPENSSL_MODULES=_build/lib/
OPENSSL_CONF=scripts/o-ca.cnf ./.local/bin/openssl version" is not quite
conclusive: The config file "o-ca.cnf" doesn't look right. Please verify
that your setup confirms two instances of the provider being active. You
can do this with the option "list -providers": This is what must be
displayed (also in the test run) to trigger/showcase the problem:

OPENSSL_MODULES=_build/lib/ OPENSSL_CONF=scripts/openssl-ca.cnf
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=.local/lib64 ./.local/bin/openssl list -providers
Providers:
  default
name: OpenSSL Default Provider
version: 3.2.0
status: active
  oqsprovider
name: OpenSSL OQS Provider
version: 0.5.0-dev
status: active
  oqsprovider2
name: OpenSSL OQS Provider
version: 0.5.0-dev
status: active

I saw that there is an auto imported branch in git already for 5.41
from debian unstable, so it shouldn´t be that complicated + it would
be nice to have up to date mime data / file data for an LTS Release of
  Ubuntu.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 2020259] [NEW] [Zenbook 15 UM3504DA_UM3504DA, Realtek ALC294, Speaker, Internal] No sound at all

2023-05-21 Thread Austin Reelick
Public bug reported:

No sound whatsoever on freshly imaged Zenbook UM3504DA
Sound control panel only occasionally shows activity, cannot consistently get
it to provide sound.

Attempted many fixes from other users experiencing same issue, many say
this issue occurs after booting to windows or that sound only works at
either 100% or 0% but this is not the case for myself.

Since this is a recently released device, there are no matching fixes
provided by the community that work for me.

Hopefully this is at all helpfull

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1958019]

2023-05-21 Thread cam
Alas, you are correct. The good news is that this is being worked on for
the Legion... But it seems to be for the latest model of the Legion
(which does haven't Cirrus Logic, it has TI smart amps IIRC). I have the
2nd to latest (which I think came out less than a year ago).

Hopefully from there they can work on my model... And perhaps Lenovo can
begin to branch out from there.

It's really too early to guess where things will go, but I'm hopeful.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1958019]

2023-05-21 Thread alexis.cuglietta
I do have exactly the same issue on a ThinkBook 13x Gen 2 running Ubuntu
23.04 (kernels 6.2.0 and 6.3.3): no sound from the internal speakers,
although sound works when using the external 3.5mm jack. The laptop has
the same chips: ALC287/3306 codec and CS35L41/CSC3551 amplifier.

journalctl displays the following message:
"Error: ACPI _DSD Properties are missing for HID CSC3551"

I have extracted the DST tables using ACPICA and did not see any
reference to the 2 parameters required by the CS35L41 driver: "cirrus"
and "dev-index".

My conclusion is there is probably some work required from the Lenovo
BIOS team :(

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1975788] Re: libopencv-core-dev package depends on wrong TBB devel package

2023-05-21 Thread Jakob Bornecrantz
This is a pretty big blocker, can this be fixed?

Title:
libopencv-core-dev package depends on wrong TBB devel package

Status in opencv package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
OpenCV 4.5.4+dfsg-9ubuntu4 in 22.04 is compiled and linked against
libtbb.so.2 from the libtbb2 package, which is correctly recorded in
  its binary packages, e.g.:

  # dpkg -s libopencv-core4.5d | grep Depends
  Depends: libc6 (>= 2.34), libgcc-s1 (>= 3.3.1), libstdc++6 (>= 11), libtbb2
(>= 2017~U7), zlib1g (>= 1:1.1.4)

However, the libopencv-core-dev development package depends on libtbb-
  dev instead of libttb2-dev:

  # dpkg -s libopencv-core-dev | grep Depends
  Depends: libopencv-core4.5d (= 4.5.4+dfsg-9ubuntu4), libtbb-dev, zlib1g-dev

This hinders any development using both OpenCV and TBB2.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 2018128] Re: Apport does not collect all logs when the package is HWE kernel

2023-05-21 Thread lotuspsychje
@4 Benjamin

i ran sudo ln -s source_linux.py /usr/share/apport/package-
hooks/source_linux-signed-hwe.py

and added a symlink /usr/share/apport/package-hooks/source_linux-signed-
hwe.py -> source_linux.py

then created a new bug against 'linux' but the results were the same, no
logs were imported

see the new bug report https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-
signed-hwe-5.19/+bug/2020268

  apport only imports 2 logs Dependencies.txt + ProcCpuInfoMinimal.txt

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1972790] Re: Can't connect to hotspot created on ubuntu

2023-05-21 Thread Laurent Lyaudet
Hello,

Thanks for your hard work :)
I have the following bug when using Ubuntu Hotspot on my laptop :
- my Android smartphone can connect to my laptop on the Wifi Hotspot Network
- but my smartphone says it cannot connect to Internet through the Hotspot... XD
which is kind of unfortunate since the goal was to access Internet :)

I don't know if it should be better to create another bug report,
since it is slightly different. Please, let me know :)

I'm using latest Ubuntu 23.04 fully patched.
I rarely use Hotspot feature, hence I cannot say if it worked on Ubuntu 22.10
or 22.04, etc.
Let me know if you need more informations that I can provide.

Best regards,
   Laurent Lyaudet

Title:
Can't connect to hotspot created on ubuntu

Status in wpa package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
We currently have older systems (18.04) with hotspot's and we will migrate to
22.04.
Anything work's fine, expect the hotspot.
The Hotspot will be created and is visible in the WLAN-List, but if the
security is set to "WPA & WPA2 Personal" we get the error message "Failed to
connect to the network".
If we change the Security to "WPA3 Personal" we get the error message
"Invalid Password", even if the password is correct.
As soon we remove the security (change it to "none"), we can connect with out
any problems.

We can reproduce it with a fresh installtion of the Ubuntu Server
22.04 and the following two commands:

  apt install network-manager

nmcli c add type wifi ifname wlp3s0 con-name Hotspot autoconnect yes
  ssid test-ap 802-11-wireless.mode ap 802-11-wireless.band bg
  802-11-wireless.mac-address "80:45:dd:f0:27:ba" wifi-sec.group ccmp
  wifi-sec.key-mgmt wpa-psk wifi-sec.pairwise ccmp wifi-sec.proto rsn
  wifi-sec.psk "test12345" ipv4.addresses 192.168.60.1/24 ipv4.method
shared && nmcli connection up Hotspot

We thought it could be similar to this issue:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/wpa/+bug/1958267
Because if we test it with 20.04 it worked fine, because 20.04 uses the
Version 2:2.9.0-21build1 as described in the Ticket.

  As @Sebastian Bacher suggested
(https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/wpa/+bug/1958267/comments/58), i
created a own report.
In the attachment is the requested log file.
