After the switch to systemd, my 4G Huawei USB modem no longer functions
as a modem unless I run usb_modeswitch to flip its state from USB mass

BTW, I just upgraded my Vivid running on top of a Macbook Air, with
systemd again, it booted really fast! now!
Systemd boot isn't slow anymore.

I started to use Vivid with systemd yesterday, and today, my system
froze due to lack of ram memory (my problem, obviously).
I tried to "reboot" it, without success... The reboot command did not

After switching to systemd, the AppArmor service often fails to start on
boot. This seems to happen at least 50% of the times I turn on the
system. If I attempt to start the process again after the system is
otherwise finished booting, it works fine. I also have another sys

Unity Launcher always assumes default background is active
Ah right, that makes more sense. By definition, "shutdown -h now" or
"poweroff" etc. are racy -- sometimes it "survives" and comes back,
sometimes the shutdown of the machine is too fast. It seems that with
systemd it's just a bit faster. I suggest calling "shutdown -h +1", or
if you don't want to

This is pretty obvious by looking in the attached nmlog file, and search
for connection '/208150102671184/context1'. You'll see it get disabled
at 18:41:24 after a bunch of failed attempts ( modem-no-carrier ). It
