I tried matheiu's branch and I also bumped the storage allocation from
2GB to 4GB, no difference. The _IOW call always returns -1 when it hits
a size greater than 31 bits or 2GB. The sizes passed in the
mtp_file_range are correct.

Hey,
If this happens again, please connect your phone to your computer with USB, use
adb shell from a terminal to get a shell on your phone. Then do
kill -SEGV `pidof unity8`
This will make unity8 crash in the hung state it is in, and apport will
do its job of uploading the crash file to us.
I'm having the same issue on a T60. Restarting Networkmanager results
into 100% CPU-Usage.

I have an

VM with had an crash from aa-status
which could not reported cause apt, apt-utils are outdated
- but they are not
- no more updates available
- all
I'm usingTrusty (14.04.2) trying to run debian/jessie in lxc
what i did:
$ add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-lxc/daily
$ apt-get update
$ apt-get install lxc cgmanager lxcfs
then:
$ lxc-create -n jessie -t debian
$ lxc-start -n jessie
nothing seems to happen
in the syslog i see:
