Thanks. I think this is my firmware file for the wireless lan.

I am trying to update or use a different firmware for this.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1253608] Re: topMost InverseMouseArea should removeEventFilter when disabled

  Fix Released

Bug description:
An InverseMouseArea that has the topMost property as true will install
itself as an event filter. When it's disabled, there's no use for such
event filtering and it will therefore be just useless overhead.
Specially when that event filter is installed on the QGuiApplication,
which gets quite a lot of events.

I actually don't get why to you install it on the QGuiApplication when
your target (sensing area) is the rootItem. It would be great if there
was a comment in the code explaining this strange decision. Maybe its
because of the bug that you cannot filter events sent to QQuickItems
[1] (whose fix is on the way [2]).

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1544191] Re: Facebook, Flickr and Fitbit login page is too small in side stage

2016-02-11 Thread Olivier Tilloy
The default UA string the Ubuntu WebView sends is based on the *screen* size,
not the window size.
10" is considered big enough that it requests "desktop" content.
That’s a deliberate decision, but obviously the side-stage use case wasn’t
taken into account in the investigation that led to that decision.

We might need to add an API to the WebView to allow embedders to force
"small screen mode".

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1544191] Re: Facebook, Flickr and Fitbit login page is too small in side stage

2016-02-11 Thread Jean-Baptiste Lallement
Here is a screenshot for Facebook, but the problem is similar for flickr
and fitbit. It's like it opens the desktop version of the login form
instead of the mobile version in the side stage window.

Instagram or Twitter nicely fit the side stage.

For Soundcloud, the login window is a bit too wide and the 'Confirm'
button is partially visible.

  Test Case:
  1. Go to system-settings / Accounts
  2. Add an account for facebook, flickr or Fitbit.

I can easily fill my credentials

It's too small and I cannot read.

This morning I went to settings to check for OTA-9. It was there, so

statistics like 4GB of 97284MB downloaded). Then it reported
"Installation failed. Sorry, the system update failed."

I tried rebooting the phone to see if that might clear the problem.
Now in Updates I see Ubuntu Version: 9 165.3MB. If I tap Download it
  immediately reports the same error.

This error message is vague. It should give some detail about what
went wrong. It should also inform the user what state the phone is
now in: if it's still at OTA 8.5 or if it's in a half-installed state.

Bug description:
I'm experimenting with Vivid Vervet on a virtual machine and tried a
new LVM feature, lvmcache. I made a cache for the root file system,
rebuilt the initrd and rebooted the VM.

At boot time, the system failed to activate the root LV. After some
investigation, I found out, it's because the initrd is missing some
essential stuff needed for activating a cached LV.

The initrd was missing the dm-cache module. I regenerated the initrd
with explicitly listing dm-cache in /etc/initramfs-tools/modules, but
the system still can't boot up, because now it is missing the
  /usr/sbin/cache_check utility.

As SSDs are becoming more and more common, I think it will be common
to use them as cache for root file systems, thus it is mandatory to
make sure that an initrd can mount an lvmcached root device when
necessary, preferably without /etc/initramfs-tools/modules and other
  manual initrd hacking.

2016-02-11 Thread Olivier Tilloy
The fix in the linked branch should cater for the second issue, because
a capture will be taken (almost) as soon as the page is finished
loading, and it won’t be deleted until the page is closed.

Regarding the first point, I’ll talk to design about it.

I'd like to have easier access to the Service numbers (incl. GSM codes) on my
SIM card
so that I don't have to search for them outside the usual place I look for
phone numbers (i.e. the address book).

At the moment we can only access the Service numbers via System
Settings > Phone > Services (of one of the installed SIM cards). It
would be handy to have them also in the Contacts app, e.g. via a
  special options menu.

  == Acceptance Criteria ==

  * Given I've just opened the Contacts (address-book-app) on my phone, when I
press the gear icon on the right upper corner of the app then I find an option
"Service numbers" at the end of the list of the (Contacts) Settings page.
  * Given I have 2 SIM cards installed, when I access the (Contacts) Settings

to be released on 2015 Oct 16.
Expected behavior: System Settings > System > Updates (or System Settings >
About this phone > Check for updates) reveals new image that I can release and
download.
Actual behavior: Checking for updates... > Software is up to date

See the comment regarding similar issues for large app installs.
It seems if anything interrupts the transfer or if the connection is somewhat
slow the download performance degenerates then times out.

Title:
FilterGrid backed by FilterProxyModel renders wrong

Status in unity8 package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
While working on a different bug I noticed that FilterGrid would
occasionally not render properly when backed by LimitProxyModel.

  To give you an example:
  $ bzr branch -r657 lp:~unity-team/unity8/unity8-fix-filtergrid
  tests/qmltests/Components/tst_FilterGrid
Wraps the fakeModel with LimitProxyModel, and sets that on the filterGrid as
the backing model.
  $ make -C builddir tryFilterGrid
Consdering collapsedRowCount: 2, columns: 3, now select "model count limit"
value
  4 (4 items shown, 3+1), then
  1 (1 item shown), then
4 (*3* items shown, 3+0) -- second row should show one more item.
Note that "rowsWhenCollapsed" displays value of 2, which would be correct
(that would be the actual value of collapsedRowCount).

  Now select:
  3 (3 items shown), then
4 (*4* items shown, 3+1) -- only now the behavior is correct!

In other words, items displayed on the second row seem to "kick in"
only after model grows while it previously filled up the whole first
row (or, for that matter, you could generalize to the last row being
visible in the FilterGrid, smaller than collapsedRowCount).

As you see, changing the count of items in the model should not affect
how many items FilterGrid shows (/renders). And even though
rowsWhenCollapsed is calculated correctly, items are missing. Try
selecting "model count limit" to 1, then 7. You'll only see 3. If you,
  however, set 3, then 7, you'll see 6!

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1384243] Re: photos edited in gallery do not display edited in "My Photos" scope

2016-02-11 Thread Kyle Nitzsche
@Michi:

Appending a timestamp param (image://thumbnailer/PATH) to
every photo's art uri accomplishes the goal: on refresh edited photos
display edited in surfafed results

I assume this approach does not force the thumbnailer to rethumbnail
every photo every time (even though the URIs are now always new) because
when there has been no edit of the photo the file modification time has
not changed. Please correct me if this assumption is incorrect.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 658960] Re: add "sudo" before apt-get autoremove in warning

2016-02-11 Thread Jarno Suni
How about
"Use 'apt-get autoremove' as superuser to remove them."?

Or maybe it would be enough that the error message printed by `apt-get
autoremove` when ran as regular user could be more user friendly. Currently it
is:
E: Could not open lock file /var/lib/dpkg/lock - open (13: Permission denied)
E: Unable to lock the administration directory (/var/lib/dpkg/), are you root?
(apt 1.0.1ubuntu2)

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1004607] Re: pulseaudio switches microhpones randomly

2016-02-11 Thread Raymond
** Changed in: pulseaudio (Ubuntu)
   Status: Confirmed => Incomplete

--
You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu
Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to pulseaudio in Ubuntu.
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1004607

Title:
  pulseaudio switches microhpones randomly

Status in pulseaudio package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Problem
  ===

During Skype calls, pulseaudio switches input to front microphone
randomly. I need to manually switch back to rear mic every time that
  happens.

  Expected
  ===

I select the rear microphone as input (pavucontrol) and it stays
  that way.

  Workaround
  ==

I disabled this module in /etc/pulse/default.pa:

  # load-module module-switch-on-port-available

and then restarting pulseaudio obviously solves this.

  Ideal workaround
  ==

Disable port switching for (selected?) input devices in pavucontrol.

Or at least somehow honor my selection, e.g. if the input is marked as
a fallback device, it shouldn't switch.

  Possible cause 1
  =

After pulseaudio startup, pactl shows these lines:

  analog-input-microphone-front: Front Microphone (priority 8500,
available: yes)
analog-input-microphone-rear: Rear Microphone (priority 8200, available:
no)

Note: I don't use the front mic port at all.

  Possible cause 2
  =
My sound card or ports may be creating noise that triggers "jack activation"
events

  Possible cause 3
  =

Bios, hardware related issues trigger jack activation events.

Example of pulseaudio switching mics during Skype call:

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1460560] Re: ubuntu touch: dialer app long press #1 no function

2016-02-11 Thread Peter Bittner
We now have OTA-9, and there is little change. On my bq Aquaris E5 with
2 SIM cards there is nothing happening on long-press of the <1> button,
except that the "1" number is cleared from the number input field. No
prompt for entering a voice mail number, no nothing.

A general "quick-dial" feature for long-press on any number key would be
awesome. Any chance this is ever going to land in an implementation
backlog?

  steps
  1) flash ubuntu-touch/rc-proposed/ubuntu-pd
  2) connect bt mouse and see unity8 go into windowed mode
  3) move mouse about screen while at the same time connect slimport hdmi cable

ui will then freeze but seems content, let it sit for 30 min no reboot or
restart, no crash files, power button does not do anything.
It's also possible to have the slimport already connected - move mouse around
disconnect, the ui will freeze altho in this case unity8 always seems to
restart.

There are no usc crash files.

The problem is a dead lock on the Display/DisplaySyncGroup mutexes
  between CompositingFunctor->SystemWindowManager->GraphicsDisplayLayout
  and DisplayInputRegion.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1544595] [NEW] dmesg man page misleading on -d -t switches

2016-02-11 Thread Thomas Mack
Public bug reported:

man dmesg states under the '-d, --show-delta' section:

Display the timestamp and the time delta spent between messages. If
used together with --notime then only the time delta without the
timestamp is printed.

This is not sufficient: --notime or -t has to be used BEFORE -d switch,
otherwise also the delta times will be removed from output.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1506358] Re: libmirclient gives up and terminates prematurely with "std::exception::what: disconnected: no new buffers" via ExchangeSemantics::submit()

2016-02-11 Thread Kevin DuBois
This is expected behavior though when a nested server has its host
server die (so I'd say this as described doesnt really describe a
"bug")... The bug that this one was made a duplicate of seems to be the
root cause.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1512980] Re: Please enable PPS in the Ubuntu build of ntpd

2016-02-11 Thread Robie Basak
Fixed in 1:4.2.8p4+dfsg-3ubuntu1, but I missed that pps-tools is in
universe when sponsoring, so it's stuck in dep-wait right now. We need
to look into whether we want to MIR pps-tools, or if pps-tools is not
needed at runtime, or if there is some way to build NTP with PPS support
without pps-tools. At a cursory glance it looks like it's a build time
dependency for headers only, in which case the current proposal to not
require build deps to be in main may resolve this.

  version ubuntu: 20160109

  What happened:
Someone called me and I wanted to take the call on the phone (nothing
attached to the phone). The screen was locked and I pressed the power button to
unlock the screen. The phone did not react on any pushed buttons. The phone
continued ringing but I was not able to do anything with the phone during this
time.

During the next minute the phone was blocked. After this period a
  "restart" followed.

  "Restart":
The restart was not a real reset. The phone screen was black. Then approx. 1
- 2 minutes after the call was gone, the screen went on again and the ubuntu
logo with the dots appeared (same screen when you start the phone but without
the "bq"-screen).

I did not need to enter the PIN code of the SIM card. The phone was
  again fully operational.

This happened on January, 10th at approx. 13:30 h. I have attached the
sys.log for your review and hopefully for tracing back the issue to
  the root cause.

  Matthias

browser is limited to 2 live webviews

Status in webbrowser-app package in Ubuntu:
  In Progress

Bug description:
I often open far more then 3 tabs but when I have 3-6 tabs open only
and chance back to another one this tab is cleared already and have to
  reload.

It's not the same but similar to this bug:
  https://bugs.launchpad.net/webbrowser-app/+bug/1268055
But while this bug is a wishlist for me this behaviour is very unhandy and
annoying:

This is very bad because you run more fast then necessary into the
traffic limit of your UMTS provider. And when it is a limited speed it
takes really really long to load the other tabs again and again when
you have to often chance between them.

In combination with other (maybe unreported until now) bugs it is more
bad than this because I have to load the site a while and then stop it
because advertisement blocks the view of the website until I stop it -
or wait until 30s again for nothing (ads).

How should it work: For example my opera mini on my old andoid device
with only 256 MB RAM works much better then this browser with 1 GB RAM
on Ubuntu phone - but this can chance. There I can open 50 tabs or
more and no tab have to reload!

How could it solved: Maybe there's the possibility for a new option in
the optional configuration file for a bigger cache size, a tab number
limit or something like this. I have enough RAM but no time and
traffic for reloading again and again. Please help as soon as
  possible.

I used stable and vivid-proposed channel on a BQ phone with all
  Updates.

  Greetings, lgd

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1495314] Re: Crash when opening second site via new tab overview (favourites, popular sites, links from other apps)

2016-02-11 Thread Olivier Tilloy
Yeah I understand you don’t want to share your history db, that’s absolutely
fine, I wasn’t even asking for it :)
But if you keep a copy of it before clearing it next time it happens to you,
that may help debugging the issue.
Anyway, I’m glad to know that the issue hasn’t happened again so far.

There are no usc crash files.

Bug description:
A few times recently when unity8 got into xenial-proposed for
migration, unity-scope-click's autopkgtest failed on the first run,
  having passed on the next:

This delays migration until someone notices the failure and asks for a
  re-run, which usually passes.

Re: [Touch-packages] [Bug 1539446] Today scope hangs-on after OTA9 update

2016-02-11 Thread danilo
Hi Kyle
I had removed all that additional scopes and using the phone in this way, I
never more experienced any of the noticed hangs or freeze.
I used it not so much indeed in the last days, this is thevreason 'cause it
takes so long to me to answer you.
Also keeping many apps / tasks active, the recalling/ awakening of the
Today scope is always reactive and the app scope ( theonly one still
active) recall is 100% smooth and fluid.

Side effect:
No possibility to give you the file you requested " just after freezing" 

Let we see in the short future. Cross fingers.
Ciao

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1479652] Re: [patch] ntpd rejects source UDP ports less than 123 as bogus

2016-02-11 Thread Eric Desrochers
It has been brought to my attention ...

--
I confirm that the proposed testfix package resolved the issue on Trusty.

The test were made on test machines where the client had an iptable postrouting
nat forcing the source port to be under 123.
- ntpdate command performed on the client machine was successful
- tcpdump on the server side confirmed that the source port was under 123.

Bug description:
  [Impact]

If an NTP client sends a request with a source port less than 123, the
packet is silently ignored by ntpd. This is occurring in our
  environment due to NAT.

  [Development Fix]

Fixed by merge of NTP of newer upstream release that includes the fix.
Stuck in dep-wait in xenial-proposed due to an unrelated issue (pps-
  tools MIR or other resolution).

  [Test Case]

The problem can easily be reproduced by having an iptable postrouting
nat forcing the source port to be under 123 set on the client.

  Setup:
   ==> NTP server = y.y.y.y
ntp.conf configured to be a server.

   ==> NTP client = x.x.x.x
   "ntpdate" used to submmit requests

#iptable setup to force src port to be lower than 123
   iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -p UDP --dport 123 -j SNAT --to-source
x.x.x.x:100-122

  ## On the client, set to force src port < 123 (without patch)

  $ ntpdate y.y.y.y
ntpdate[]: no server suitable for synchronization found

  ## On the client, set to force src port < 123 (with patch)

  $ ntpdate y.y.y.y
ntpdate[]: adjust time server y.y.y.y offset -0.028483 sec

  [Regression Potential]

  The patch comes from upstream:
  http://bugs.ntp.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2174

A testfix[1] package has been provided to the community before the SRU
process to bring more confidence for the patch. Positive feedbacks has
been given by the community to confirm the patch addressed the bug

  [Original description]

[Title copied from Debian bug, which was not filed by me. Description
  below is mine.]

If an NTP client sends a request with a source port less than 123, the
packet is silently ignored by ntpd. This is occurring in our
  environment due to NAT.

Attached is the patch already accepted upstream which fixes the issue.
I've verified it fixes the problem. Debian has been ignoring this
patch for almost 3 years. Can we get this in Ubuntu please?

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1542846] Re: [HP ProBook 450 G3, Intel Skylake HDMI, Digital Out, HDMI] No sound at all

2016-02-11 Thread Marc Deslauriers
Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu
better. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but this appears
to be a "regular" (non-security) bug. I have unmarked it as a security
issue since this bug does not show evidence of allowing attackers to
cross privilege boundaries nor directly cause loss of data/privacy.
Please feel free to report any other bugs you may find.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1506015] Re: Network errors after changing between mobile data connection and wifi

2016-02-11 Thread Rodney Dawes
OK, I will try to find some time to test this again with latest 032
after dealing with my current silo landing, and doing a reflash and
cleaning out the sources.list.d. Unfortunately, I've never been able to
really hit the network errors condition myself, so I'm not sure I'll be
able to actively test it. However, rvr seems to be hitting some of these
issues lately, so perhaps I will ask him to see if this silo helps at
all, after I give it a quick general run through as well.

Bug description:
When you boot your phone, no matter how long you wait after you first started
it, you have to first unlock it before the app scope populates. It's not very
good from a user experience point of view, since you start with a blank screen.
This scope should auto-populate on start (and maybe others too, but then
there's the problem of data connexion).
I think the problem was not present before OTA9.
Tested on the Aquaris 4.5 updated to OTA9.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1376513] Re: Alarm volume should use the stream-restore dbus api available in pulseaudio

2016-02-11 Thread Pat McGowan
The indicator can be the proxy but it really needs to manage this in
pulse and not in a separate gschema setting. Currently we have two
competing volume levels, one is adjusted in the app slider the other
while the alarm is sounding.

As the app provides an specific volume slider just for alarms, it

You can find additional info for the stream restore API at

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1543031] Re: Sometimes no notification when new OTA is available

2016-02-11 Thread Rodney Dawes
The new OTA notification is a push notification. Recommend checking the
push client logs on the phone, and verifying the U1 acocunt is set up
and usable, if you hit this issue. I'm not sure why this would only
affect frieza, but I have rc-proposed on my mako for testing, and almost
every day there is a notification for an update. I've not noticed any
occasions recently when there was no notification AND a new update
available, on it.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1539446] Re: Today scope hangs-on after OTA9 update

2016-02-11 Thread Kyle Nitzsche
HI Danilo,

Awesome! But, if there is a problem, if the freeze happens again, it
would be great if you can provide the scope-registry.log file.

Also, If you can associate a particular scope (or app) with the freeze,
that would be helpful. For example, you could try bringing back the
scopes you removed one-by-one and then seeing if there are freezes. If
so, please comment this bug.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1544701] [NEW] [REGRESSION] systematically unable to receive files via bluetooth

2016-02-11 Thread Teo
Public bug reported:

I used to be able to send files over bluetooth from my smartphone to my
ubuntu laptop.

Then at some point bug 958661 appeared, where the undiscoverable setting
for receiving files over bluetooth (which cannot be found under any
bluetooth-related setting) was turned off without a reason, and also, at
random times Ubuntu would start to reject all transfer despite that
setting being turned on - but at least there was the workaround to
manually switch the setting off and on which would "fix" the issue.

Now after upgrading to 15.10 I am simply UNABLE to send any file via bluetooth
from the android phone to the ubuntu laptop.
ALL transfers systematically fail. On the phone side, sometimes I get
"connectuion failed" and sometimes "transfer rejected on target" (I am quoting
the messages by memory, so the wording may not be exact).

Something as trivial and vital as transfering files over bluetooth is
still broken (and gets more broken at every upgrade) after so many
years. This is outrageous.

talking to Paypal? How can I know that? This is encouraging people to
type their Paypal password into phishing sites. The previous step in

2016-02-11 Thread danilo
I have it in my todo list. 

Step1 : Keep actual setup for a while more (end of this week? Too long?).
And check if freezing still happens.

Step2 : Add the previous scopes, in the same order they was before the
cleaning (oops not sure about the previous order appearance. Sorry, my
fault   ) and check device/ OS reactions.

Is it OK for you too?

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1544712] [NEW] Don't require ofono to be available

2016-02-11 Thread Simon Fels
Public bug reported:

location-service currently seems to require ofono to be around as its
otherwise doesn't give us any location updates. Was found on a device
without a cellular modem (no rild running) so ofono was never started at
boot time. This seem to irritate location-service in what ever its
doing.

We've put in a hack to get it working by starting ofono even if no rild
is around.

A DASD that has been used with and partitioned for LVM, cannot be used for
installation. The installer cannot format the disk. It throws the error "An
installation step failed. You can try to run the failing item again from the
menu, or skip it and choose something else. The failing step is: Configure

DASD, but hangs at "Scanning disks..." at 45 percent. I have attached the

- Hack to support system-image read-only /etc, and modify files in
  /etc/writable/ instead.
- Build using libseccomp on powerpc and ppc64el (See Debian #800818).

Upgrade fixes, keep until 16.04 LTS release:
- systemd Conflicts/Replaces/Provides systemd-services.
- Remove obsolete systemd-logind upstart job.
- Clean up obsolete /etc/udev/rules.d/README.
- systemd.postinst: Migrate mountall specific fstab options to standard
  util-linux "nofail" option.
- systemctl: Don't forward telinit u to upstart. This works around
upstart's Restart() always reexec'ing /sbin/init on Restart(), even if
that changes to point to systemd during the upgrade. This avoids running
  systemd during a dist-upgrade. (LP: #1430479)
- Provide shutdown fallback for upstart. (LP: #1370329)
- Break lvm (<< 2.02.133-1ubuntu1) and remove our dummy /etc/init.d/lvm2
on upgrades, as it's shipped by lvm2 now.
- Make udev break on mdadm << 3.3-2ubuntu3, as udev's init script dropped
  the "Provides: raid-mdadm".
- Clean up /var/log/udev on upgrade (which is written under upstart, but
  not under systemd). (LP: #1537211)
- Migrate existing s390x network configuration to new names. (LP: #1526808)
- systemd.postinst: Bump Version comparison for migrating the UTC setting
from /etc/default/rcS to /etc/adjtime, to run it for upgrades to 16.04.

systemd (228-7) UNRELEASED; urgency=medium

  * debian/tests/systemd-fsckd: Tame overly strict test for failed plymouth
unit, which is a race condition with plymouthd auto-stopping.
(LP: #1543144)
  * Do not warn about Wants depencencies on masked units. (LP: #1543282)
  * Drop timedated-don-t-rely-on-usr-being-mounted-in-the-ini.patch.
initramfs-tools has mounted /usr since Jessie, and tzdata now creates
/etc/localtime as a symlink too (see #803144).
  * Use-different-default-paths-for-various-binaries.patch: Drop path changes
for setcap (which is already a build dep and not used at all) and sulogin
(which is now in util-linux).
  * Remove obsolete udev maintainer script checks:
- Drop check for kernel >= 2.6.32, which released in 2009.
- Drop restarting of some daemons due to the devtmpfs migration, which
happened before the above kernel even.
- Drop support for forcing upgrades on kernels known not to work via
/etc/udev/kernel-upgrade. Don't pretend that this would help, as users
could end up with a non-bootable system. Always fail early in preinst
when it's still possible to install a working kernel.
- Drop postinst test for "running in containers" -- it's actually possible
to run udev in containers if you mount /sys r/w and you know what you
are doing. Also, the init.d script and systemd service do that check
  again.
- Keep the kernel feature and chroot checks, as these are still useful.
Simplify check_kernel_features() by eliminating some variables.
- Drop debconf templates. Two of them are obsolete, and having
CONFIG_SYSFS_DEPRECATED is now so implausible that this doesn't warrant
  the overhead and translator efforts.
  * Drop debian/tests/ifupdown-hotplug. The units moved into ifupdown, so the
test should go there too (see #814312).
  * debian/tests/control: Reorder tests and add a comment which ones should
not be run for an upstream build.
  * debian/tests/control: Rearrange tests and avoid removing test dependencies
to minimize testbed resets.
  * Add debian/extra/checkout-upstream: Script to replace the current
source with a checkout of an upstream pull request, branch, or commit,
and remove debian/patches/. Call from debian/rules if $TEST_UPSTREAM is
set. This will be used for upstream CI.

systemd (228-6) unstable; urgency=medium

  * Make-run-lock-tmpfs-an-API-fs.patch: Drop /run/lock from
tmpfiles.d/legacy.conf to avoid the latter clobbering the permissions of
/run/lock. Fixes fallout from cleanup in -5 that resulted /run/lock to
have 0755 permissions instead of 1777. (LP: #1541775)

  4. Hit the orange 'Log-in to..' button
  5. Authenticate with google.
  6. Wait till youtube results are refreshed.

The dash appears frozen now. It doesn't crash though, in fact the
process is running and the dash responds to the dbus signal which
invalidates current scope and forces a refresh (tested with dbus-send
  --session --type=signal '/com/canonical/unity/scopes'
  com.canonical.unity.scopes.InvalidateResults string:'clickscope').

Note, the launcher as well as apps still receive input and work ok.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1341611] Re: [apt-get] The option -f, --fix-broken does not work in LM17 x64

2016-02-11 Thread Jarno Suni
Option -f seems to be accepted only for commands that may involve
installing or removing packages. E.g. command "autoclean" merely deletes
some .deb files in cache; that has nothing to do with package
dependencies. SYNOPSIS in man page does not tell that though. That is
not the only inaccuracy of the synopsis: E.g. it does not tell about any
options that are defined only as long options, e.g. " --purge".

Tomás F. L., is there any reason you want to use -f with command
autoclean?

  apt-get --fix-broken autoclean

error:
E: There is not known the option of line of orders "f" [of -f].
E: There is not understood the option of line of orders - fix-broken

The above mentioned option appears in the apt-get man:
  -f, --fix-broken
Fix; attempt to correct a system with broken dependencies in place.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1543282] Re: masked jobs trigger warning about failed dependency

2016-02-11 Thread Launchpad Bug Tracker
This bug was fixed in the package systemd - 228-6ubuntu1

---
systemd (228-6ubuntu1) xenial; urgency=medium

  * Merge with Debian unstable. Remaining Ubuntu changes:

  * Drop timedated-don-t-rely-on-usr-being-mounted-in-the-ini.patch.
initramfs-tools has mounted /usr since Jessie, and tzdata now creates
/etc/localtime as a symlink too (see #803144).
  * Use-different-default-paths-for-various-binaries.patch: Drop path changes
for setcap (which is already a build dep and not used at all) and sulogin

  * Make-run-lock-tmpfs-an-API-fs.patch: Drop /run/lock from
tmpfiles.d/legacy.conf to avoid the latter clobbering the permissions of
/run/lock. Fixes fallout from cleanup in -5 that resulted /run/lock to
have 0755 permissions instead of 1777. (LP: #1541775)
