Bug description:
  [Availability]
   * Available in universe.

  [Rationale]
   * This package is required by unity-scopes-api.

  [Security]
   * No known security issues at this time, it has been in active use on our
touch devices since a very long time already.

  [Quality assurance]
   * This package comes with a set of unit tests that are all being run during
build-time.

  [Dependencies]
Most dependencies are already in main, with only a small nitpick:
   * libboost-test-dev is in universe, but its source boost-defaults is already
in main.
   * zeromq3 has a MIR filled as well
(https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/zeromq3/+bug/1597439)

  [Maintenance]
   * This package is used by Canonical upstream projects so the packaging is
maintained by Canonical. The upstream code is actively maintained and developed
by the zeromq team.

Bug description:
  [SRU Justification]
software-properties does not display debconf prompts. while most debconf
prompts have default answers and this is fine, for installing dkms modules on a
SecureBoot-capable system we specifically have a critical debconf prompt with
no possible default answer that users need to step through in order for their
dkms modules to be usable.

  [Test case]
  1. sudo apt-add-repository ppa:vorlon/debconf-tests
  2. sudo apt update
  3. Launch Settings -> Software & Updates -> Additional Drivers
  4. Confirm that you are offered the option of using the 'noisy-fake-driver'
package.
  5. Select this driver and apply changes.
  6. Confirm that no debconf prompt is shown, and the driver package fails to
install ('dpkg -l noisy-fake-driver' shows 'iF').
  7. Reset the package state by removing the driver again.
  8. Enable -proposed.
  9. Run update-manager and verify that the new software-properties package is
successfully installed from -proposed, pulling in libgtk2-perl in the process.
  10. Close Software & Updates and re-launch it.
  11. Select the 'noisy-fake-driver' package again.
  12. Confirm that you are shown a debconf prompt, and the driver package
installs successfully.

  [Regression potential]
The actual code change is small and self-contained, but the fix also requires
pulling in new package dependencies which will also need to be promoted from
universe to main in the process. We need to take extra care to ensure the
upgrade path is correct. This SRU should also be done serially one release at
a time to gather feedback at each stage.

  [Original bug description]
  I've encountered this repeatedly.

In the first installation -- on updating via Software Updater, this
crashed on upgrading the shim-signed package.

  On suggestions from here:

I upgrade the system via CLI, i.e. dist-upgrade. This seemed to work,
however when I now try to swap the display driver, from xorg -->
nvidia. This now triggered the same issue.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1686183] Re: Ship ubuntu-advantage in ubuntu-minimal

2017-04-28 Thread Steve Langasek
discussed the above error with the team:
- non-x86 multiarch is a quite minor use case on precise
- it is not clear that esm.ubuntu.com is intended to be x86-only, or that it
will remain so indefinitely

So we will not limit the sources.list.d entry by architecture, which
could do more harm than good, and so I'm considering this verified.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1686183] Re: Ship ubuntu-advantage in ubuntu-minimal

2017-04-28 Thread Steve Langasek
$ ubuntu-advantage
usage: ubuntu-advantage [enable-esm|disable-esm]

Enable or disable the Ubuntu Extended Security Maintenance archive.

Parameters:
 enable-esm enable the ESM repository
 disable-esmdisable the ESM repository

the argument must be in the form "user:password"

$ sudo ubuntu-advantage enable-esm
[sudo] password for vorlon:
Running apt-get update...
W: Failed to fetch https://esm.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/precise/Release Unable
to find expected entry 'main/binary-armhf/Packages' in Release file (Wrong
sources.list entry or malformed file)

E: Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones
used instead.
$

Having foreign-arch multiarch enabled on 12.04 is a pretty marginal use
case. ;) Should we care about filtering out unsupported ports
architectures when constructing the sources.list.d file?

It looks to me like this ShortcutException is raised when for whatever
reason the client application fails to retrieve the key. I don't think
there is anything we can do about this and as such don't think it should
be reported to the Error Tracker at all.

The apport package hook for software-properties could filter out

Bug description:
Looking at the retracer's activity on bug 1639215, we can see that the
retracer did something because it removed the need-amd64-retrace tag
but we don't know what. It'd be helpful to know what happened during
the retracing process rather than leaving people reading the bug in
  the dark.

Looking at the retracing log files we see the following:

ERROR: Invalid core dump: BFD: Warning: /tmp/apport_core_RVHov3 is
truncated: expected core file size >= 2306977792, found: 2147479552.

Looking at add_gdb_info we see the following:

if 'is truncated: expected core file size' in out:
  ...
 raise IOError(reason)

  And apport-retrace does the following:

  try:
  report.add_gdb_info(sandbox)
  except IOError as e:
  apport.fatal(str(e))

Instead of just exiting, apport-retrace should comment on the bug
about the core dump being corrupt and call
  crashdb.mark_retrace_failed().

Bug description:
This happened on an computer that was installed many years ago, and upgraded
on each LTS version.
When upgrading from 14.04 to 16.04.1, it started telling me that something
wrong happened with sysv-rc, then that there were some "initscripts dependency
problems" making it "leaving unconfigured".
Then many packages were reported as incorrectly setup : procps, udev,
initramfs, keyboard-configuration, console-setup, plymouth, cups, upower,
gnome-session, gnome-shell, udisk, gvfs, software-center, mountall, upstart,
etc.

After reading the log files, I found out that this was caused by insserv,
reporting "insserv rejected the script header", coming from package
virtuoso-nepomuk having an incorrect header in /etc/init.d : "missing end of
LSB comment", "missing LSB tags and overrides".
  This package http://packages.ubuntu.com/precise/database/virtuoso-nepomuk was
existing on 12.04, but was removed afterwards.
The latest version 6.1.4+dfsg1-0ubuntu1 indeed contains an incorrect header
in /etc/init.d/virtuoso-nepomuk.

I managed to solve the issue by adding the "END INIT INFO" in this
  file, like below :

  #! /bin/sh
  #
  # virtuoso OpenLink Virtuoso Open-Source Edition
  #
  # Written by OpenLink Virtuoso Maintainer
  #
  #
  # Version: @(#)virtuoso 6.1.4 25-Mar-2011
vos.ad...@openlinksw.com
  #

  ### BEGIN INIT INFO
  # Provides: virtuoso
  # Required-Start: $syslog
  # Required-Stop:$syslog
  # Default-Start:2 3 4 5
  # Default-Stop: 0 1 6
  # Short-Description:Start Virtuoso database server on startup
  # Description: Start and stop the primary instance of Virtuoso
running
  # in /var/lib/virtuoso/db/. The first time this runs, it loads the
  # Conductor administrative package.
  ### END INIT INFO

Then a "sudo apt-get upgrade" allowed me to finish the installation
  successfully.

Title:
initctl continuously takes 100% of CPU

Status in upstart :
  Confirmed
Status in upstart package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
Many programs are fairly slow to start on my computer, despite it
being relatively new (core i5). Suspecting a heavy CPU usage, I
started gnome-system-monitor: all processes were displayed at 0% CPU,
but the overall load was 1.33; 1.33; 1.34.

Using the "top" command, however, revealed the real CPU use, with the
"initctl" process taking 100%CPU, even 1 hour after startup.

I upgraded to roaring ringtail before checking this but the symptoms
were the same with quantal quetzal, so there is a fair chance the
  causes were identical.

  [ Description ]

Google changed their expected date format to fix a bug which libgdata
was working around. We don't need the workaround any more.

  [ Fix ]

This is fixed in 0.16.1. I think we should take this update, as it
includes other bugfixes too. I think it falls under the GNOME MRE. If
not, we can cherry-pick this one fix.

  This is in vivid already.

  [ QA ]

If you get the below error, check that upgrading to the new libgdata
  fixes it for you.

  [ Original Report ]

  Hello,

When trying to synchronise Google Contacts with Evolution, I am
  getting the error message:

The backend for this address book was unable to parse this query.

My system is Ubunru 14.10, Evolution 3.12.6.

Before updating to Ubuntu 14.10 (in 14.04) it worked without an error.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1686183] Re: Ship ubuntu-advantage in ubuntu-minimal

2017-04-28 Thread Steve Langasek
Hello David, or anyone else affected,

Accepted ubuntu-meta into precise-proposed. The package will build now
and be available at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-
meta/1.267.2 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository.

Please help us by testing this new package. See
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation on how
to enable and use -proposed.Your feedback will aid us getting this
update out to other Ubuntu users.

If this package fixes the bug for you, please add a comment to this bug,
mentioning the version of the package you tested, and change the tag
from verification-needed to verification-done. If it does not fix the
bug for you, please add a comment stating that, and change the tag to
verification-failed. In either case, details of your testing will help
us make a better decision.

Further information regarding the verification process can be found at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QATeam/PerformingSRUVerification . Thank you in
advance!

  [Impact]

   * Allow ubuntu-advantage users to access the extended security
maintenance script with a simple command line tool. This script needs
to hit precise machines and be easy for ubuntu-advantage customers to
enable, thus basefiles was chosen as a home.

  [Test Case]

   * Run ubuntu-advantage, it should print out help
   * Run sudo ubuntu-advantage enable (without sudo it will warn you),
but you need to be an ubuntu-advantage customer to get that token. In the end,
the script simply adds and removes an /etc/apt/sources.list.d entry.
   * you can contact me (d...@canonical.com) if you would like a token for test
purposes.

  [Regression Potential]

   * Low, this is a new script, not included in any automated startup
  paths.

Update - I see this in dmesg, "mmap: avahi-daemon (1269): VmData 4304896
exceed data ulimit 4194304. Update limits or use boot option

Also, when I click on "Report Problem" nothing happens.

2017-04-28 Thread Dimitri John Ledkov
Hello David, or anyone else affected,

Accepted ubuntu-advantage-tools into precise-proposed. The package will
build now and be available at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source
/ubuntu-advantage-tools/1 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed
repository.

Thank you in
advance!

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1682193] Re: Mouse acceleration significantly reduced after upgrade to 17.04

2017-04-28 Thread Alexey
This is the exact discription of who my trackpoint works on Ubuntu now:

I am unable to achieve acceptable results with all the different knobs
that are available. If I tune down acceleration, I am able to do
detailed pointing, but the stick is generally so slow, that it takes
ages to cross the screen. On the other hand, if I increase the
acceleration, even the slightest movement of the stick makes it jump
significantly on the screen so that I am unable to do detailed
selections.

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=99860
here is the thread.
I'm not sure

Seems like acceleration is now working corretly. How can I find more
info about how this works?

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1539209] Re: pulseaudio crashed with SIGABRT in pa_alsa_path_set_volume()

2017-04-28 Thread Georg Chini
I probably figured out the reason for the crashes. Can someone please test
this patch: https://patchwork.freedesktop.org/patch/153418/ Patch is against
current git but should apply well to older PA versions.

Mauricio: It would be nice if you could test it - your logs showed where the
problem was. Somehow module-device-restore sets your headset mic volume to
insanely high values (around +170 dB). You will have to correct that as well
if it does not crash anymore. (Please don't try to correct it before testing
the patch, the bug is only exposed when a high volume is set)

Current 16.04+ releases uses fc 2.11.94 (2.12 RC4) for an early fix
for #1556457. It sounds saner to move to 2.12.1, a non-RC release
which contains some Unicode table updates, memory leak fixes, and the
original fix for CVE-2016-5384, for the next Ubuntu release. The ABI
  appears unchanged since 2.11.94.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1654600] Re: unattended-upgrade-shutdown hangs when /var is a separate filesystem

Bug description:
  [SRU justification]
This fix is needed to make sure that the system does not hang on shutdown
when /var is a speparate file system

  [Impact]
System can hang up to 10 minutes if not fixed.

  [Fix]
Change the systemd unit's ExecStart to an ExecStop so the unit is correctly
sequenced.
Change WantedBy to multi-user.target. This requires working around Debian Bug
#797108 which causes the new unit not to be enabled.
  Remove the unneeded override_dh_isntallinit
Add Default-Start levels to the SysV initscript
  Improve DEP8 testing

  [Test Case]
In a VM with /var separated from the / file system, shutdown the VM. It will
hang for 10 minutes

  [Regression]
Upgrade has been tested on Xenial, Yakkety, Zesty. do-release-upgrade has
been tested from Trusty to Xenial. All behave as expected.

A change of behavior may occur now that the systemd unit is correctly
enabled, which would make functionalities like InstallOnShutdown to
work as expected whereas it could have been broken previously. This
cannot be considered as a regression as it is expected behavior.

Shutdown may be slowed down as it now correctly depends on /var and
/boot to be available so the unit will run earlier than previously.

  [Original description of the problem]
The systemd unit file unattended-upgrades.service is used to stop a running
unattended-upgrade
process during shutdown. This unit file is running together with all
filesystem
  unmount services.

The unattended-upgrades service checks if the lockfile for unattended-upgrade
(in /var/run) exists, and if it does, there is an unattended-upgrade in
progress
and the service will wait until it finishes (and therefore automatically wait
at
  shutdown).

However, if /var is a separate filesystem, it will get unmounted even though
/var/run
is a tmpfs that's still mounted on top of the /var/run directory in the /var
filesystem.
The unattended-upgrade script will fail to find lockfile, sleeps for 5
seconds, and
tries to check the lockfile again. After 10 minutes (the default timeout), it
will finally
exit and the system will continue shutdown.

The problem is the error handling in
/usr/share/unattended-upgrades/unattended-upgrade-shutdown
where it tries to lock itself:

  while True:
  res = apt_pkg.get_lock(options.lock_file)
  logging.debug("get_lock returned %i" % res)
  # exit here if there is no lock
  if res > 0:
  logging.debug("lock not taken")
  break
  lock_was_taken = True

The function apt_pkg.get_lock() either returns a file descriptor, or -1 on an
error.
File descriptors are just C file descriptors, so they are always positive
integers.
The code should check the result to be negative, not positive. I have
attached a patch
  to reverse the logic.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1589487] Re: libicu52 not present

2017-04-28 Thread Om Prakash D
We experienced this issue while installing "Ubuntu 16.04.2 LTS Version".
Does this applies the same? I mean do we have any workaround to get this
or only option left with to replace with libicu55?

Thank you

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1686183] Re: Ship ubuntu-advantage in basefiles for ubuntu

2017-04-28 Thread Andreas Hasenack
I can't use a debdiff here anymore because the new key is a binary file.
I created a git branch here:

Is that enough for your review? Should I make an MP against the precise-

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1687015] [NEW] 229_4ubuntu17 removes group write permissions from /var/log

2017-04-28 Thread Simon Davy
Public bug reported:

Steps to reproduce (time senstive, once lxd image is updated with
4ubuntu17, I expect this won't work)

lxc launch ubuntu:x test
lxc exec test -- ls -ld /var/log # shows 775 perms
lxc exec test -- apt update
lxc exec test -- apt-cache policy systemd
lxc exec test -- apt install systemd
lxc exec test -- ls -ld /var/log # shows 755 permissions

straceing the apt install shows no chmod calls to /var/log (only
/var/log/apt.log, as you'd expect)

This means syslog cannot write new files in /var/log, and had broken
some production logging for us as a result.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1654448] Re: XPS 13 9360, Realtek ALC3246, Headphone audio hiss

2017-04-28 Thread Esokrates
The mentioned workaround

amixer -c 0 set 'Headphone Mic Boost',0 1

has the drawback of significantly lowering the headphone volume!
You can easily test it listening to audio and switching back to

amixer -c 0 set 'Headphone Mic Boost',0 0

When headphones are plugged in, there is a clearly audible hiss (white
noise). This is present as soon as the headphones are plugged in, whether
'headphones' or 'headset' are selected from the pop-up box.

Using alsamixer to debug the issue reveals that it is related to
"Headphone Mic Boost" - the default setting is: dB gain 0.00, 0.00. If
  this is changed to:

10.00, 10.00 (one notch up) the hiss disappears.
  20.00, 20.00 cause a louder hiss and
30.00, 30.00 causes an even louder hiss with high frequency audio artifacts.

When the headphones are removed and plugged back in the Headphone Mic
Boost setting returns to dB gain 0 and the problem also returns.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1654600] Re: unattended-upgrade-shutdown hangs when /var is a separate filesystem

2017-04-28 Thread Louis Bouchard
Test performed for verification-done for :
 - Xenial
 - Yakkety
 - Zesty
1) Installed unattended-upgrades from -proposed
2) Verified the status of the unattended-upgrades service. All displayed :

# systemctl status unattended-upgrades
● unattended-upgrades.service - Unattended Upgrades Shutdown
   Loaded: loaded (/lib/systemd/system/unattended-upgrades.service; enabled;
vendor preset: enabled)
Active: active (exited) since Fri 2017-04-28 14:02:35 CEST; 47s ago
 Docs: man:unattended-upgrade(8)

3) Enabled Unattended-Upgrade::InstallOnShutdown "true"; in
/etc/apt/apt.conf.d/50unattended-upgrades and rebooted. All releases
applied the upgradeable packages upon reboot (some had too many and the
timeout ran out before end of update)

4) Ran apt -y dist-upgrade on all releases. Rebooted. systems rebooted
normally.

5) Enabled trusty-proposed on a Trusty system and ran do-release-upgrade
to go to Xenial. After completion of the full upgrade, unattended-
upgrades service was active (as seen in #2)

6) Enabled zesty-proposed on a system with /var as a separate file
system. Upgraded unattended-upgrades. After upgrade, unattended-upgrades
service was active (as seen in #2)

7) Verified that the workaround for Debian Bug #809669 left the upgraded
system in an adequate configuration :

cat
/var/lib/systemd/deb-systemd-helper-enabled/unattended-upgrades.service.dsh-also

/etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/unattended-upgrades.service

The problem is the error handling in
/usr/share/unattended-upgrades/unattended-upgrade-shutdown
where it tries to lock itself:

  while True:
  res = apt_pkg.get_lock(options.lock_file)
  logging.debug("get_lock returned %i" % res)
  # exit here if there is no lock
  if res > 0:
  logging.debug("lock not taken")
  break
  lock_was_taken = True

The function apt_pkg.get_lock() either returns a file descriptor, or -1 on an
error.
File descriptors are just C file descriptors, so they are always positive
integers.
The code should check the result to be negative, not

The problem is the error handling in
/usr/share/unattended-upgrades/unattended-upgrade-shutdown
where it tries to lock itself:

  while True:
  res = apt_pkg.get_lock(options.lock_file)
  logging.debug("get_lock returned %i" % res)
  # exit here if there is no lock
  if res > 0:
  logging.debug("lock not taken")
  break
  lock_was_taken = True

The function apt_pkg.get_lock() either returns a file descriptor, or -1 on an
error.
File descriptors are just C file descriptors, so they are always positive
integers.
The code should check the result to be negative, not positive. I have
attached a patch
  to reverse the logic.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1397316] Re: GObject signal functions make python apps crash

Well, Ubuntu 12.04 goes EOL today, so I guess it's wontfix for it. Can
you change the status, or simply remove Precise entry? I don't have
rights for it.

The test app (which crashes in Ubuntu 12.04) is in the attachment.

When headphones are plugged in, there is a clearly audible hiss (white

Using alsamixer to debug the issue reveals that it is related to
"Headphone Mic Boost" - the default setting is: dB gain 0.00, 0.00. If
  this is changed to:

10.00, 10.00 (one notch up) the hiss disappears.
  20.00, 20.00 cause a louder hiss and
30.00, 30.00 causes an even louder hiss with high frequency audio artifacts.

When the headphones are removed and plugged back in the Headphone Mic
Boost setting returns to dB gain 0 and the problem also returns.

Ship ubuntu-advantage in basefiles for ubuntu

Status in base-files package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:

   * Low, this is a new script, not included in any automated startup
  paths.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1624317] Re: systemd-resolved breaks VPN with split-horizon DNS

2017-04-28 Thread Vincent Gerris
indeed, this is COMPLETELY broken on 17.04. It seems systemd-resolved is
the only thing being used. My DNS resolving over anyconnect
(openconnect) does not work AT ALL anymore. I don't know which brilliant
mind decided to change things like that, knowing there are so many bugs
open.

any work arounds known are greatly appreciated (disabling systemd-
resolved did not help)

I use a VPN configured with network-manager-openconnect-gnome in which

to ignore the VPN’s DNS servers and use the local network’s DNS

  breaking the split-horizon DNS.

2017-04-28 Thread Lorens Kockum
I agree with latimero, this is very disagreeable, especially as the home
directory of systemd-resolve (and irc) disappear without being recreated
at reboot. At least /run is not +t like /tmp.

Bug description:
running pwck after installing ubuntu 16 gives an error:
  pwck
user 'systemd-resolve': directory '/run/systemd/resolve' does not exist

I think that every home directory specified in /etc/passwd must exist.
If systemd-resolve has a volatile home directory I expect this directory to
be created at boot time.

It seems that there is no regression test before release that makes
sure that no such errors are reported.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1654448] Re: XPS 13 9360, Realtek ALC3246, Headphone audio hiss

2017-04-28 Thread Kai-Heng Feng
The patch is included in mainline, and it's included in Xenial since 4.4.0-25.
Also, our testing machines are not the final mass production version - I'll try
get one and take a look on it.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 482080] Re: Dovecot's apparmor profile breaks dovecot-antispam

2017-04-28 Thread ChristianEhrhardt
Would be profiles/apparmor.d/usr.lib.dovecot.imap in the apparmor package.
But after all the time we might need a check if things still apply.

Also might in a different setup the same entries might be needed in
usr.lib.dovecot.pop3 or such.
And in that case maybe rather abstractions/dovecot-common?

And finally I don't know if
  owner /tmp/** rwkl,
Is too open?
Looking at the logs maybe rather:
  owner /tmp/antispam-mail** rwkl,

So I flagged wrong last November - adding apparmor now.

  Current incorrect behaviour:
  - The file does not appear in the Dash

  Desired correct behaviour:
  - When the File Lens is opened, the file that has just been saved from GIMP
should appear at the front of files under the 'Recent' category header. It
should also be possible to search for the file and find it in the Dash.

Notes: This is probably an issue with Zeitgeist logging of GIMP events

I hope this does not have too much impact on my laptop's battery

I'm using a ThinkPad T450s with Ubuntu 16.04. This problem already
  existed when it ran 15.10.

Regardless if the notebook is connected to AC or not, external speakers are
connected or not, the audio output seems put to sleep somehow after ~6 seconds.
Whenever a process tries to output audio, it needs approx. 4 seconds for the
audio to actually come out.
Despite this laggy behaviour, it is really annoying because most applications
freeze during this time.

Besides different apps of daily working are affected by this
(Thunderbird, MPlayer, VLC, ...), this even applies to the "volume
changing sound" when using the volume -/+ keys. In detail this means:
if I press the volume "-" key multiple times, the volume overlay
freezes for approx. 4 seconds and then all requested volume change
  sounds are played altogether.

Seth, you are right, I didn't check it careful enough.

Ben, you probably need to file an upstream bug report.

You can also iwlwifi-core [1] as a last resort. It has some non-
upstreamed fixes.

  Intel Wireless 7260 often crashes

Bug description:
Hardware: Acer CB3-131 Chromebook (GNAWTY) running Ubuntu Mate natively (BIOS
enabled by SeaBIOS firmware from scripts here:https://mrchromebox.tech/). Uses
Intel 7260 wifi, rev. bb:
01:00.0 Network controller: Intel Corporation Wireless 7260 (rev bb)

Software: Ubuntu Mate 17.04, upgraded from 16.10. Currently,
everything (kernel, firmware, etc.) is stock. Issue has persisted
  across multiple installations.

Bug: Wifi/Bluetooth crashes and refuses to come back up, even after
multiple reboots. Issue persists across distros (Arch, Ubuntu, etc.)

When the wireless (Bluetooth and WiFi) works, it works flawlessly. However,
upon boot, it is not uncommon for the wireless to stop working within two
minutes of login time. Curiously, the GUI usually still shows being
"connected", though trying to change anything with the wifi shows otherwise.
Other times, upon system resume when wireless was previously working, the GUI
will show "device not ready" and refuse to continue. Dmesg shows the following:
  [ 423.814823] Bluetooth: hci0 command 0x1403 tx timeout
[ 424.172973] iwlwifi :01:00.0: Failed to wake NIC for hcmd
  [ 424.173062] iwlwifi :01:00.0: Error sending SCAN_OFFLOAD_REQUEST_CMD:
enqueue_hcmd failed: -5
  [ 424.173067] iwlwifi :01:00.0: Scan failed! ret -5
[ 425.194487] iwlwifi :01:00.0: Failed to wake NIC for hcmd
  [ 425.194589] iwlwifi :01:00.0: Error sending SCAN_OFFLOAD_REQUEST_CMD:
enqueue_hcmd failed: -5
  [ 425.194593] iwlwifi :01:00.0: Scan failed! ret -5

Solution: Rebooting doesn't fix the problem. Perhaps a different
firmware version will work better? Configuration settings? etc.?
  Unknown.

Thanks ahead of time for the help. Let me know if there's anything you
  need/commands I should run/solutions I can attempt.
