Systemd sometimes just doesn't resolve DNS queries and for the life of
me I don't know why.
So often when I'm switching between wifi networks I find that systemd-
resolved in 17.10 complete fails to do it's job. Here's the example. I'm
connected to the internet :

@Rey Leonard Amorato if you are using Virtual Box and if 3d acceleration
is enabled, try to turn off that feature and try to log in. This way
helped me when I was getting blank page instead of login screen in
online accounts.

typically when a video is playing, but not, I think always. It rotates
180 degrees and stays upside down. Mouse movememnts are reversed (ie
correct for the orientation of the screen).

install. Not sure what changed, but no changes are necessary to
/etc/nsswitch.conf in order to make resolving DNS work with internal
domains while connect to openconnect VPN. Probably I should stick with
LTS :-)

biometryd and thumbnailer currently FTBFS with the latest boost on
bionic. I tried looking into biometryd and fixed all the boost related

I run "gio open /tmp/whatever.mp3". It silently does nothing, i.e., the
mp3 does not play, and yet exits with status 0. I run exactly the same
command again. It opens totem to play the mp3. This seems to be
repeatable: when I run the command repeatedly, it alternatives between

a connection. Disabling the network connection and enabling it again
restores the IPv4 connection. Problem probably exists since upgrading to

We'll never see a fix in Unity8, so we'll never know if it also requires
any change to Mir.
As we can not reproduce the problem in any current project: I declare
this bug invalid.
