To add to the issue, `/etc/environment` has one line setting `PATH` and
throwing out any old versions of `PATH` (it doesn't contain `$PATH`).
Changing that changed my `PATH` consistently on reboot:
$ cat /etc/environment
PATH="/opt/ghc/bin:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin
Hi there, the same device currently has ubuntu 19.10 and I have updates
installed every 2-3 days.
This is still an issue for my device, and currently I use a duel boot of
windows to get audio (works fine)
I intend to update to major releases when they drop (ie 20.04) when they
become available.
The issue you describe seems different from the upstream bug you
referenced, could be worth opening another systemd upstream issue
report?

Yes. My hardware is still working as well as the day I got it. I only
charge it rarely, maybe once every other month. I always turn it off
when not in use and don't leave it attached to the charging base. Maybe

the _partition_ of course, so it can probe for filesystem etc without
looking at the partition table. After it's done that, it does look for
the partition table so it can read the ID_PART_ENTRY_* values from it,
