I'm on xubuntu 22.04.1 nvidia driver 515.65.01, nvidia on-demand profile
lags ...
I saw xauth list defaults to display :0 , and according to nvidia-
settings, nvidia on-demamd profile uses screen 256, not screen 0. So i
tried this:
$ xauth add localhost:256 . $(xxd -l 16 -p /dev/urandom)

I think this is to do with the hardware (probably 3D) acceleration under
OpenGL since the effect is reproducable by installing virt-manager,
