Tried that youtube use case in a krilin flashed with devel-proposed #59
(today's image) and couldn't reproduce it.
The Log-in to Youtube button was still there in the bottom and
untiy8-dash responded to touch input normally (ie, it didn't get frozen

I decided to do the touch stream validation at qtmir level instead,
ensuring qtmir always provides a sane and clean stream of touch events

I guess this should be solved by https://code.launchpad.net/~mir-
team/qtmir/port-to-event-2.0/+merge/248067, as currently mouse events
are received by unity8 as touch events, which trigger edge gestures.
With that change mouse events will properly go into unity8 and therefore
won't trigger any
And actually is not possible to reproduce the bug anymore, even without
the patch above, as unity8 now switches do windowed mode when a mouse is
connected. And windowed mode doesn't have edge gestures.

A DirectionalDragArea on top of a Flickable
This actually has multiple causes:
1 - EdgeDragArea has very lax rules, so a rightwards DDA would recognize even a
vertical drag if it's long enough (both in terms of time and of distance)
2 - If the EdgeDragArea inside the Launcher rejects a gesture it will cause
Launcher to retract. Ie, bad

I don't know how it can get into such a state. Need more info than just the
stack trace.
If errors.ubuntu.com could at least provide stderr output I could stuff some
state information into the qFatal() message.

IAhmad saw a crash while switching from an app to the dash. We are not
able to reproduce that however after talking to dandrader he says the
logs from errors.ubuntu.com gives
