What could auto-start CUPS is cups-browsed for example, but with

And there is also another bug in systemd: The *.path file as it comes
with CUPS should always start
pitti, first, in the shutdown process of CUPS cups.path has to be
deactivated first, so that the presence of the keepalive file of CUPS
does not cause an immediate restart. After that, the other unit files of
CUPS need to get deactivated to complete the shutdown.
Concerning cups-browsed (which can
pitti, as far as I know the debhelpers add the needed steps to the
maintainer scripts of the cups-daemon package. So it seems that the
debhelpers do not add the required commands.

The SRU for Xenial (bug 1598300) is a one-line patch removal on the CUPS
daemon, the problem observed here and in many other reports is on the
shutdown of the old CUPS daemon. So it seems that some independent
