[Touch-packages] [Bug 1382278] [NEW] Image #94 on mako / #88 on flo fails to start - mir crash

2014-10-16 Thread ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°
Public bug reported:

Update from #93 to #94 and I get the constant ubuntu spinning logo.
adb shell to device and find unity8, maliit and unity8-dash dying, this is in
their logs.

Reverting to #93 'fixes' it, and going forward to #94 breaks it again.

FATAL: UbuntuClientIntegration: connection to Mir server failed. Check that a
Mir server is
running, and the correct socket is being used and is accessible. The shell may
have
rejected the incoming connection, so check its log file

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1380946] [NEW] Remove account-plugin-evernote from phone image

2014-10-14 Thread ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°
Public bug reported:

We want to ship an evernote accounts plugin in the reminders-app click
package. As such we no longer need the account-plugin-evernote in the
image.

Note: the main reason for the move is that we want to ship the Evernote
API key in the Reminders app click package instead of a .deb package.
This way we're not tied to system updates if the key needs to be updated
or revoked. In addition to that, we can get Jenkins to manage the API
keys and keep them private instead of making them public.

This needs to be coordinated with an upload of the new Reminders app
that includes the account in the click package:

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1378278] [NEW] Inconsistent artwork between scope and app

Public bug reported:

I have only one Bruno Mars and one Daft Punk album on my device.
In the Music Scope initial view they show with one set of artwork.
In the Music app and the expanded Music Scope they show different artwork.

Should these not be consistent?

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1378126] [NEW] Passcode screen misses keypresses

2014-10-06 Thread ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°
Public bug reported:

For some reason the passcode entry screen / lock screen feels very laggy
when entering my passcode.

It frequently misses my keypresses, so i end up typing insufficient
characters. I don't know if the hit area for the numbers is too small
and I'm mis-hitting or if there is a lag/delay. I'm not typing
stupendously fast, but pretty quick. Any slower and it feels very
deliberate, like I'm typing a PIN into an ATM.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1375513] Re: [phone-app] bypass lock on shell possible

2014-09-30 Thread ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°
@Michael. We first saw it in the pub on Saturday evening, but didn't
have pens or wherewithal to figure out what we'd done to trigger it. I
spent 20 mins the next day figuring out the steps, and reproduced it
multiple times on whatever was latest krillin rtm that day. I agree it's
mostly down to the 'recent' tab being there which makes this possible.
dholbach had a nexus 4 next to me and couldn't reproduce because his has
no 'recent' tab.

[phone-app] bypass lock on shell possible

Status in Dialer app for Ubuntu Touch:
  New
Status in Ubuntu UX bugs:
  Confirmed
Status in “unity8” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  from a private bug 1374773

With the Recent option in the dialer in emergency call mode it's
possible to get to the task switcher, app scope

  Steps to reproduce

  1. Set a passcode
  2. Swipe away welcome screen
  3. Tap 'emergency call' - phone opens
  4. Swipe Recent bottom edge up
  5. Swipe a contact left, choose message (screen locks, wait for osk)
  6. Swipe away osk
  7. Tap 'emergency call' - phone opens again to 'recent'
  8. Swipe left a person, tap person icon (screen locks)
  9. Tap 'emergency call'
  10. Swipe in from right of screen, observe muliple apps, and you can pick any
of them.

  This bypasses screen lock.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1374030] [NEW] Dropbox crash on Ubuntu MATE Remix

2014-09-25 Thread ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°
Public bug reported:

I'm getting Attempt to unlock mutex that was not locked and a segfault
when running Ubuntu MATE Remix 14.10.

It seems this bug is reported elsewhere in a number of other packages
and is a result of a change in GLib ≥ 2.41.

I am told this patch can fix it.

https://github.com/GNOME/gtk/commit/79c3ff3c4ed74bbcc820dac2d5180fa4d48d55ec

Bug 1346299 bug 1344386 are related (similar issue, different app).

Note that as this is dropbox, we cannot easily fix there as it's
proprietary.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1373156] [NEW] Authentication prompts outside of lock screen

2014-09-23 Thread ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°
Public bug reported:

Just rebooted my phone and got an authentication request on the lock screen.
I suspect this is related to the youtube scope, but can't be certain. Maybe
vaguely related to bug 1373019.
See screenshot.

I suggest that I shouldn't see these things before I've unlocked the
phone. It exposes some data about me which seems like a security/privacy
issue.
