[Touch-packages] [Bug 1649077] Re: [regression] OSK appears blank and/or flickers in the lock screen

2016-12-21 Thread Ante Smolcic
I have a suspicion this bug may manifest after a long period of inactivity
related to the keyboard. I think I had not been writing any messages for more
than 24 hours when I have had noticed it again.

Bug description:
After using OTA-14 a while, the OSK starts to exhibit a strange
  behaviour.

  1. It appears blank after a while in the lock screen. You can still
press randomly which then makes the OSK to appear fully. When you
press a character again it starts to flicker.

  2. OSK starts to flicker similar to bug #1590765 which was fixed in
OTA-12. It seems to have resurfaced in OTA-14.

  Systems Info:
  OTA-14 Stable Channel
  Devices: E4.5, E5

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1474292] Re: [address book] + [messaging-app] Can't select multiple recipients from contacts

2016-12-11 Thread Ante Smolcic
My idea is that if the Contacts app is called from the field "To" it should
show only the contacts with the "Phone" entry.
Or, if we want to make it posible to select other entries, the check-list
should diplay all the entries for the contact.

Then you select what you want and click on "back" or somthing. The
selected numbers/contacts should be listed in the "To" field.

Title:
[address book] + [messaging-app] Can't select multiple recipients from
  contacts

Status in Ubuntu UX:
  Fix Committed
Status in address-book-app package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid
Status in messaging-app package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
It's currently quite tedious to send messages to many contacts. You
need to select them one by one from the contacts list and go
back'n'forth between the contacts list and the messaging page.

  Steps:
  * bottom-swipe for new message
  * tap on contacts
  * long-press on a contact

  Expected:
  * can select multiple contacts

  Current:
  * nothing happens

For contacts with multiple numbers, the item should probably expand on
selection to show the available numbers with checkboxes next to them,
preselecting the preferred number or mobile, if none is marked
  preferred.

Adding contacts app as sending a message from the contact selection
menu could be an option, too.

  ProblemType: Bug
  DistroRelease: Ubuntu 15.04
  Package: messaging-app 0.1+15.04.20150707-0ubuntu1
  Uname: Linux 3.4.67 armv7l
  ApportVersion: 2.17.2-0ubuntu1.1
  Architecture: armhf
  Date: Tue Jul 14 11:43:31 2015
InstallationDate: Installed on 2015-07-09 (4 days ago)
  InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 15.04 - armhf (20150709-225837)
  SourcePackage: messaging-app
UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install)

   UX resolution

There are wireframes and refined journeys which allow a multiple selection
from the contacts. If you access your contacts from the compose view of the
messaging app, it will be possible to select several entries in one go.
However, there is also the option to simply type a letter or number in the
input field in the compose view. This exposes a drop down menu with proposed
contacts. If a contact has two numbers, both numbers are shown as a separate
list entry.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1469220] Re: [dialer] Dialer should allow me to block nuisance calls

2016-12-11 Thread Ante Smolcic
Hi. This feature was present in the old not-so-smart phones and in some
fixed phones as well. Back in the analog days you had to have a
subsription to a caller-id service. Now with IP-telephony and mobile
telephony we can say it is an expected feature of any device that calls
itself a phone. Thank you.

Title says it all. I have a very old number and get a lot of

them block on my last phone but I'm getting them again. Please
  implement this.

The messages app equivalent is bug 1469535.

  --- UX comment & resolution ---

  To block a number:

  1. Open dialer
  2. Carry out a bottom edge swipe to access your Recent calls
  3. Swipe towards the left on the entry/number you would like to block
  4. tap the Info icon
  5. see the revealed details about the caller and select the BLOCK option at
the bottom of the page

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1612367] Re: [Touch] Incoming call gets silent randomly

I've had this exact behaviour for a long time on my BQ Aquarius E4.5.
With OTA-14 as well.

Bug description:
I've experienced this strange issue 4-5 times after OTA-12. It seems pretty
random and is hard to reproduce.
When I get an incoming call, the screen turns on, the incoming call pop up
appears, but there is no sound at all even though the phone is not in silent
mode (and also the speaker volume is not set too low). I can accept this call
and keep conversing as usual.
Once I asked the same caller to call me once again after a few minutes, that
time the phone rang as expected.

  Device: E5, OTA-12, stable channel

I can provide necessary logs if this happens again. Which ones should
  I gather?

  Possibly related to bug #1614943.

UPDATE: As mentioned in comment #7, it seems the phone rings for a
fraction of a second and then the sound pauses abruptly.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1583981] Re: Ringtone is played through the speaker when the headphone is connected

2016-12-09 Thread Ante Smolcic
I have the exactly same problem on my Ubuntu Phone BQ Aquarius E4.5, OTA-13 and
OTA-14.
I tried with different headphones, with and without the microphone.
It doesn't matter if the ringtone is a factoy one or an external MP3.
I have tried with Windows bluetooth headphones integration and had the same
problem. Aparently bluetooth or plain headphones don't turn off the ringtone on
speakers.
OOTH, SMS notifications are cut off from the sepeaker, as expected.

Ringtone is displayed through the headphones

  Reproducibility: 100%

  Additional info:

Also music is displayed through the speaker during a second after the
  call is dismissed.

still reproduces with r337 with Krillin

: “As an exception to the normal audio routing,
if headphones are connected, for the first two seconds the ringtone
should play through the headphones only (in case you’re using them to
avoid disturbing other people), but from then on, it should play
through the internal speaker as well (in case you left the phone
somewhere with headphones connected by accident).”
