[Touch-packages] [Bug 2017431] [NEW] Xorg crash when using Thunderbird and Firefox
Public bug reported: Immediately after upgrading from 22.10 to 23.04 I am experiencing hourly crashes from Thunderbird and Firefox. About a third of the time the application crashes, 2/3 I am crashing out of the desktop session and must login again. Thunderbird has crashed about a dozen times on me when I add attachments to an email. Firefox has just crashes while moving a tab out of Firefox onto the desktop. I have not experienced any of these crashes on previous Ubuntu versions. Re: [Touch-packages] [Bug 1879488] Re: raw NEF thumbnails not processed
Having small thumbnails is better than having no thumbnails. To attract a wider audience Ubuntu must have a better out-of-the box experience. [Touch-packages] [Bug 1879488] Re: raw NEF thumbnails not processed
My bug https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gdk- pixbuf/-/issues/157#note_804913and was closed after a brief discussion. Could this be fixed in Ubuntu with a post-install script? One would expect thumbnails in nautilus to simply work. Most people won't search the help pages and then dig into the configs and will be frustrated. This used to work in previous Ubuntu versions, so it is a regression. ** Bug watch added: gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gdk-pixbuf/-/issues #157 https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gdk-pixbuf/-/issues/157 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to gdk-pixbuf in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1879488 Title: raw NEF thumbnails not processed Status in gdk-pixbuf package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: Raw NEF thumbnails are not displayed in Nautilus. Public bug reported: On a fresh install of 19.04, in "Software & Updates" when I select "Canonical Partners" the window "Authentication Required" pops up. After typing the password the mouse freezes, and can be unfrozen with CTRL+ALT+DEL. But the "Canonical Partners" cannot be selected, check box stays empty, mouse freezes again. Even after cold restart. WORKAROUND Select "Canonical Partners Sources" instead. After authorizing I can now also select "Canonical Partners". This was impossible before.
