[Touch-packages] [Bug 1510998] Re: Xorg crashes with segfault on 15.10
I already had two crashes today, but no specific xorg file. One of the crashes happened at 12:53:06 according to syslog. Only one file in /var/crash, namely _usr_bin_akonadi_maildispatcher_agent.1000.crash is related to that crash and occurred at 12:53:08 according to the crash file. Unfortunately I am not really able to reproduce any crashes. [Touch-packages] [Bug 1510998] Re: Xorg crashes with segfault on 15.10
I tried to get a backtrace according to "Already running programs" for X from https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Backtrace I started gdb on the first virtual console (Ctrl+Alt+F1). After executing "continue" in gdb, I can still switch between the different consoles, but after typing Ctrl+Alt+F7 to get back to the X session, the system is completely frozen (the virtual console is still visible). Here is the bug report: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=90493 ** Bug watch added: freedesktop.org Bugzilla #90493 https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=90493 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1437867 Title: xorg synaptic driver errors Status in xorg package in Ubuntu: Triaged Bug description: My touchpad is behaving strangely (As far as I remember it only appeared after some update in Utopic). [Touch-packages] [Bug 1437867] Re: xorg synaptic driver errors
The behaviour usually worsens after using the system for a longer time. As I cannot run on a live system for a longer period, this is hard to say. I will report after the upgrade to Vivid. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1437867 Title: xorg synaptic driver errors Status in xorg package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: My touchpad is behaving strangely (As far as I remember it only appeared after some update in Utopic). Using a two or three finger click, it needs several tries till it actually "accepts" the click. Sometimes the mouse pointer jumps to a different location on the screen when clicking with two or the fingers. Whenever the touchpad is used, errors get logged in /var/log/Xorg.0.log which seem to be related to the synaptic driver. Approximately once every week my X server crashes with a segmentation fault. [Touch-packages] [Bug 1437867] [NEW] xorg synaptic driver errors
Public bug reported: My touchpad is behaving strangely (As far as I remember it only appeared after some update in Utopic). First the screen turns black and after ~30 seconds the login screen appears. In this case the Xorg.0.log ends like this: (EE) BUG: triggered 'if (priv->num_active_touches > priv->num_slots)' (EE) BUG: ../../src/synaptics.c:2991 in UpdateTouchState() (EE) (EE) Backtrace: (EE) 0: /usr/bin/X (xorg_backtrace+0x56) [0x7fbbab374f76] (EE) 1: /usr/lib/xorg/modules/input/synaptics_drv.so (0x7fbba294a000+0x527e) [0x7fbba294f27e] (EE) 2: /usr/lib/xorg/modules/input/synaptics_drv.so (0x7fbba294a000+0x75a2) [0x7fbba29515a2] (EE) 3: /usr/bin/X (0x7fbbab1be000+0x95968) [0x7fbbab253968] (EE) 4: /usr/bin/X (0x7fbbab1be000+0xbfff9) [0x7fbbab27dff9] (EE) 5: /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libc.so.6 (0x7fbba8ef3000+0x36eb0) [0x7fbba8f29eb0] (EE) 6: /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libc.so.6 (__select+0x33) [0x7fbba8fe4673] (EE) 7: /usr/bin/X (WaitForSomething+0x1b4) [0x7fbbab372314] (EE) 8: /usr/bin/X (0x7fbbab1be000+0x57311) [0x7fbbab215311] (EE) 9: /usr/bin/X (0x7fbbab1be000+0x5b706) [0x7fbbab219706] (EE) 10: /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libc.so.6 (__libc_start_main+0xf5) [0x7fbba8f14ec5] (EE) 11: /usr/bin/X (0x7fbbab1be000+0x45a8e) [0x7fbbab203a8e] (EE) (EE) [dix] SYN1B7F:01 06CB:2970 UNKNOWN: unable to find touch point 0 (EE) [dix] SYN1B7F:01 06CB:2970 UNKNOWN: unable to find touch point 0 (EE) [dix] SYN1B7F:01 06CB:2970 UNKNOWN: unable to find touch point 0 (EE) [dix] SYN1B7F:01 06CB:2970 UNKNOWN: unable to find touch point 0 (EE) [dix] SYN1B7F:01 06CB:2970 UNKNOWN: unable to find touch point 0 (EE) [dix] SYN1B7F:01 06CB:2970 UNKNOWN: unable to find touch point 0 (EE) [dix] SYN1B7F:01 06CB:2970 UNKNOWN: unable to find touch point 0 (EE) [dix] SYN1B7F:01 06CB:2970 UNKNOWN: unable to find touch point 0 [115313.777] (EE) [115313.777] (EE) Backtrace: [115313.778] (EE) 0: /usr/bin/X (xorg_backtrace+0x56) [0x7fbbab374f76] [115313.779] (EE) 1: /usr/bin/X (0x7fbbab1be000+0x1bb179) [0x7fbbab379179] [115313.779] (EE) 2: /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libc.so.6 (0x7fbba8ef3000+0x36eb0) [0x7fbba8f29eb0] [115313.779] (EE) 3: /usr/bin/X (XIGetDeviceProperty+0x40) [0x7fbbab30d8a0] [115313.779] (EE) 4: /usr/bin/X (0x7fbbab1be000+0x14f9f4) [0x7fbbab30d9f4] [115313.779] (EE) 5: /usr/bin/X (0x7fbbab1be000+0x14ff7a) [0x7fbbab30df7a] [115313.779] (EE) 6: /usr/bin/X (0x7fbbab1be000+0x574f7) [0x7fbbab2154f7] [115313.779] (EE) 7: /usr/bin/X (0x7fbbab1be000+0x5b706) [0x7fbbab219706] [115313.780] (EE) 8: /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libc.so.6 (__libc_start_main+0xf5) [0x7fbba8f14ec5] [115313.780] (EE) 9: /usr/bin/X (0x7fbbab1be000+0x45a8e) [0x7fbbab203a8e] [115313.780] (EE) [115313.782] (EE) Segmentation fault at address 0x10018 [115313.782] (EE) Fatal server error: [115313.782] (EE) Caught signal 11 (Segmentation fault). [Touch-packages] [Bug 1437214] Re: ubuntu-bug crashes on unattended-upgrades
Same problem occurs for me when I run ubuntu-bug xorg I'm also running on (fully updated) Utopic. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to apport in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1437214 Title: ubuntu-bug crashes on unattended-upgrades Status in apport package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: I tried to report a bug for Ubuntu in general, but `ubuntu-bug` with no arguments did not work (I'll file a second report). Then I tried `ubuntu-bug unattended-upgrades` since that is the closest I can think about it. I have modified a couple of configuration files on my system and apport/ubuntu-bug asked me to include those. It then failed with the following stacktrace: Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/share/apport/apport-kde", line 533, in sys.exit(UserInterface.run_argv()) File "/usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/apport/ui.py", line 650, in run_argv return self.run_report_bug() File "/usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/apport/ui.py", line 488, in run_report_bug response = self.ui_present_report_details(allowed_to_report) File "/usr/share/apport/apport-kde", line 355, in ui_present_report_details desktop_info) File "/usr/share/apport/apport-kde", line 168, in __init__ self.ui.ui_update_view(self) File "/usr/share/apport/apport-kde", line 345, in ui_update_view QTreeWidgetItem(keyitem, [line]) TypeError: arguments did not match any overloaded call: QTreeWidgetItem(int type=QTreeWidgetItem.Type): argument 1 has unexpected type 'QTreeWidgetItem' QTreeWidgetItem(list-of-str, int type=QTreeWidgetItem.Type): argument 1 has unexpected type 'QTreeWidgetItem' QTreeWidgetItem(QTreeWidget, int type=QTreeWidgetItem.Type): argument 1 has unexpected type 'QTreeWidgetItem' QTreeWidgetItem(QTreeWidget, list-of-str, int type=QTreeWidgetItem.Type): argument 1 has unexpected type 'QTreeWidgetItem' QTreeWidgetItem(QTreeWidget, QTreeWidgetItem, int type=QTreeWidgetItem.Type): argument 1 has unexpected type 'QTreeWidgetItem' QTreeWidgetItem(QTreeWidgetItem, int type=QTreeWidgetItem.Type): argument 2 has unexpected type 'list' QTreeWidgetItem(QTreeWidgetItem, list-of-str, int type=QTreeWidgetItem.Type): argument 2 has unexpected type 'list' QTreeWidgetItem(QTreeWidgetItem, QTreeWidgetItem, int type=QTreeWidgetItem.Type): argument 2 has unexpected type 'list' QTreeWidgetItem(QTreeWidgetItem): too many arguments ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 14.10 Package: apport 2.14.7-0ubuntu8.2 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.16.0-33.44-generic 3.16.7-ckt7 Uname: Linux 3.16.0-33-generic x86_64 ApportLog: ApportVersion: 2.14.7-0ubuntu8.2 Architecture: amd64 CurrentDesktop: KDE Date: Fri Mar 27 10:00:59 2015 InstallationDate: Installed on 2014-10-07 (170 days ago) InstallationMedia: Kubuntu 14.04 LTS "Trusty Tahr" - Release amd64 (20140416.1) PackageArchitecture: all SourcePackage: apport UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to utopic on 2014-11-26 (120 days ago) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apport/+bug/1437214/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~touch-packages Post to : touch-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~touch-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
