Hi,
I create this bug issue following an advice from Nick Rosbrook in this
bug : https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/systemd/+bug/2043234
May be it's a F5 VPN. I haven't found such a bug anywhere.
I have an issue when connection to a F5 VPN when /etc/resolv.conf

Your fix helped me a lot,
My Ubuntu was in 22.04 when this problem appeared : DNS domain search
paths not updated when VPN started
Before your fix :
➜ ~ sudo ls -la /etc/resolv.conf
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 39 juin 23 12:37 /etc/resolv.conf ->
and asking other forums, it has been said that
the issue is with the Intel Driver, specifically the above package
reported.

I have exactly the same problem after upgrading from 14.04 to 15.10. I
have two users (referred here as X and Y) in sudo group. When I run
'pkexec bash' from terminal I get following message. It doesn't make any
difference if I try to authenticate as X or Y.

Ah, thanks for pointing out the BIOS update. However it didn't change
anything related to the issue.

The flickering is also present for me in the latest mainline

Maybe a duplicate of https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-
xorg-video-intel/+bug/1522922 ... weird that it only occurs in the
latest kernel package

With the previous kernel I don't see the glitches nor the i915 underruns

Upgraded linux-image-extra-4.2.0-30-generic I see graphic glitches,
looks like the graphic buffer gets screwed up
- funny repetition's patterns (back in time glitches)
- black screen (<1sec)
- graphic errors
I can influence the severity of the issue with switching
