Applying the patch fixed my problem with my Sony WH-H900N headphones. Probably a different bug but if I open Sound Settings -> Input and change the input from "Internal Microphone Built-in Audio" to "Headset WH-H900N (h.ear)" the quality degrades and the Output profile changes to "Headset Head
