Re: [Touch-packages] [Bug 1408931] Re: screen flickers and dies
Christopher, thanks for your reply, but it is not the bios this is a problem I've had right from the start which I conclude has to do with the dual processor. in a layman's language there is a threshold jumps, almost like from the interior to the exterior. If an application is on the outside fine. but then that same application goes inside and performs differently. I can see this the way the application starts off. Lets take "Audacity" which is the best example, at time it loads with the logo, then without. Skype, at time the icon is in the menu bar, at other time Skype logo is just shy. I can see this with LibreOffice at moments, and so many other applications like switching wires(?) With due respect for your valuable time and attention, Thanks, ivAn brOes inspired to write: http://www.scribd.com/Kahztiy PS.: this is a secondary e-mail in a system, a sorting system and an occasionally opened, do not use for urgent attention, rather use the MAIN e-mail address for immediate attention. As reminder that the attached document is/might be a (WIP) Work in Progress at a variety of phases in development between concept and finality, which goes for image, text, or their association. something raw, also to give me the advantage to wash the long hours on the same subject from mind, shouldn't impede the progress of modern fast-track realization, returning to it with a fresh mind as a principle that everything evolves -- another frame of mind, another perception -- So feel free to make any changes, notes, critics much appreciated, while it is understood I don't in anyway resigning my copyrights. This is not in the public domains, and presented with due privacy and confidentiality, considering security as a defense shield to Piracy -- purposeful mistake are my assurance against copyright infringement -- which is synonymous of the Internet. The best policing, is visibility as a deterrent, while reserving all copyrights, across platforms, textual, verbal and intellectual property. On Tuesday, February 24, 2015 3:41 AM, Christopher M. As per http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/04/product- support/product/xps-15-l521x/drivers an update to your computer's buggy and outdated BIOS is available (A16). If you update to this following https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BIOSUpdate does it change anything? If it doesn't, could you please both specify what happened, and provide the output of the following terminal command: sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date For more on BIOS updates and linux, please see https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs#Bug_reporting_etiquette . Please note your current BIOS is already in the Bug Description, so posting this on the old BIOS would not be helpful. As well, you don't have to create a new bug report. Once the BIOS is updated, and the information above is provided, then please mark this report Status New.
