This does NOT happen in Mageia if I install it on the same laptop so

  2) Attempt to copy some content to the root of the MTP folder

  EXPECTED RESULT:
  The copy operation should succeed. (This is the Android behaviour).

  ACTUAL RESULT:
  An error message is presented on desktop: "libmtp error: Could not send 
object info"

Sometimes when I play a clip (be it a Video, song or a radiostation, it
doesn't matter) and I have the volume lowered to 10% I can't hear any
sound whatsoever. Not until I raise the volume with Fn + F12 (F12 has a
speaker icon on it to raise the volume).

It's as if PulseAudio is muted until I raise the volume.

  WiFi works after loggin it, but it should be working before also, if
  not, what's the point in having an icon there :)

  I get the following message: Failed to add/activate connection. - (1) 
Insufficient privileges. - see image.
  This worked fine in 14.04.

  I have noticed this problem in both my desktop (Broadcom WiFi) and
  Laptop (Intel WiFi) - So it has nothing to be with the chip.

  Feel free to ask for more info.

It seems like I got the zlib installed for both architectures. I was
told by http://developer.sonymobile.com/knowledge-base/open-source/open-
devices/aosp-build-instructions/how-to-build-aosp-marshmallow-for-
unlocked-xperia-devices/ to install the 32-bit package as well.
