[Touch-packages] [Bug 1829404] [NEW] Suspends to RAM when shutdown order has been given if laptop lid is closed.

2019-05-16 Thread Manuel López-Ibáñez
Public bug reported:

When I click to shutdown the laptop, if I close the lid before the
shutdown process is completed, the laptop goes to sleep. This is
annoying because it is consuming battery but specially because the
suspend to RAM does not cancel the shutdown. When I open the laptop
again, it restores from RAM, takes several minutes to shutdown and then
I have to turn it on again.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1797872] Re: ntpd keeps Soliciting pool server

2018-10-19 Thread Manuel López-Ibáñez
Both of them work. I don't understand how the last command can work and
I may still be behind a firewall.

Also:

$ timedatectl status
 Network time on: yes
NTP synchronized: yes

So it seems it is synchronized, it just re-tries too frequently.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1590025] Re: Invalid colour specification for setting diff_cmd (diff) in /etc/colordiffrc

2016-06-07 Thread Manuel López-Ibáñez
launchpad.net does not update the package value if edited manually
instead of via "Choose..."? Oh, well...

** Package changed: apport (Ubuntu) => colordiff (Ubuntu)

Bug description:
  Ubuntu 16.04

  The default /etc/colordiffrc produces this warning:

  Invalid colour specification for setting diff_cmd (diff) in

  The key is to comment out the line for diff_cmd:

  # Example colordiffrc file for dark backgrounds
  #
  # Set banner=no to suppress authorship info at top of
  # colordiff output
  banner=no
  # By default, when colordiff output is being redirected
  # to a file, it detects this and does not colour-highlight
  # To make the patch file *include* colours, change the option
  # below to 'yes'
  color_patches=no
  # Sometimes it can be useful to specify which diff command to
  # use: that can be specified here
  #diff_cmd=diff
  #
  # available colours are: white, yellow, green, blue,
  #cyan, red, magenta, black,
  #darkwhite, darkyellow, darkgreen,
  #darkblue, darkcyan, darkred,
  #darkmagenta, darkblack
  #
  # Can also specify 'none', 'normal' or 'off' which are all
  # aliases for the same thing, namely "don't colour highlight
  # this, use the default output colour"

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1590022] [NEW] ubuntug-bug (apport-kde) keeps crashing

2016-06-07 Thread Manuel López-Ibáñez
Public bug reported:

$ ubuntu-bug colordiff

Strange dialog appears (see screenshot)
Opens launchpad.net, let's me login, but it never proceeds past updating
information.

ubuntu-bug/apport-kde has seen a huge regression in 16.04. Is it mean to
work at all?
