[Touch-packages] [Bug 1751545] Re: In Ubuntu artful, ther is no nopasswdlogin group anymore
It seems you can login with empty password in the login screen. Not sure why this didn't work for me when I was testing it last time. But the rest of the issue still stands. It is confusing that you have to type a password if the account should not have a password. I can fix that by reinstalling the package (apt-get install --reinstall libkmod2), but soon debsums again detect it as being changed. This is happening on multiple servers so I am pretty sure it is not a bad sector or something. Also, it is happening on more or less clean install (just with Docker installed, and then I have everything else inside Docker). lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS Release: 16.04 debsums libkmod2 /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libkmod.so.2.3.0 OK /usr/share/doc/libkmod2/changelog.Debian.gz FAILED /usr/share/doc/libkmod2/copyright OK dpkg -l | grep libkmod2 ii libkmod2:amd64 22-1ubuntu4 amd64libkmod shared library I think it might have the same cause as this issue: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/kmod/+bug/1658374 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/kmod/+bug/1662026/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~touch-packages Post to : touch-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~touch-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
