Felix, '99-XXX.rules' file used to work for me on lt4120 and HP EliteBook 840 G3 few weeks ago on 16.04LTS. Unfortunatelly, it does not work now. I have absolutely no idea what has changed. (mmcli -L finds my modem, however, I am unable to communicate with it. mmcli -L shows "unknown modem").
Are you able to initiate your modem via this commands? sudo sh -c 'echo "1" > /sys/bus/usb/devices/usbX/X-X/bConfigurationValue' (find and use appropiate Xes for you) sudo modprobe -b qmi_wwan sudo sh -c 'echo "03f0 9d1d" > /sys/bus/usb/drivers/qmi_wwan' Then mmcli -L Petr -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to network-manager in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1574582 Title: HP lt4120 Snapdragon X5 LTE USB modem not recognized by network- manager Status in network-manager package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: USB modem not recognized by network-manager.
