I have CUPS set to default to 2-sided printing. If, when printing, I
select single-sided I still get 2-sided. Currently trying to print from
Atril. Each time I want to print I have to check and set the default
options.
I am running the .deb version, not the snap.

Today I ran the software updater and rebooted. I now find that I am
unable to print to Brother_HL_L8260CDW_series printer; all I get is
garbage and a lot of wasted paper.
I am printing plain text. I have tried printing it from Evolution,

Further to my previous note, trying to unlock the swap partition yields:
# udisksctl unlock -b /dev/sda2
Object /org/freedesktop/UDisks2/block_devices/sda2 is not an encrypted device.

Yes it is the users-admin tool.
I tried to add the lightdm.log, but the browser did nothing when I clicked the

IIRC I already did a BIOS update, but I'm not absolutely sure. I know I
updated the BIOS on *a* computer, but was it this one?

I have narrowed down the problem.
