[Touch-packages] [Bug 1547024] Re: [N501VW, Realtek ALC668, Black Headphone Out, Right] Static Noise Problem

2016-06-17 Thread Viacheslav Semykrasov
Thanks for help, Zakatell. I started to install 4.6.0 version and this
operation was finished, but I saw error messages about nvidia-361 driver
while kernel installation. Then I researched that there are bug present
and traked in launchpad. I was afraid that system wouldn't started after
reboot, so I removed new kernel and use the 4.4.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1547024] Re: [N501VW, Realtek ALC668, Black Headphone Out, Right] Static Noise Problem

2016-06-16 Thread Viacheslav Semykrasov
1) Noise appeared again after wake up my laptop (editing alsa-base.conf
approach)
2) I tried to run patch with command

patch < /tmp/fixup-ux501vw.patch

but got a request to input:
"File to patch:"
And I don't know what should I type... I even don't have /sound folder as
mentioned in this patch.
Please, advice me. What am I doing wrong?

Anyway, it should be applied for 4.4 kernel if there is a possibility.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1547024] Re: [N501VW, Realtek ALC668, Black Headphone Out, Right] Static Noise Problem

2016-06-15 Thread Viacheslav Semykrasov
I have the same laptop, Ubuntu 16.04 also and the same pitch/whistle
static noise in headphones (it doesn't matter whether my sound volume is
muted or not). The noise started approximately after login screen
appearing. I used this temporary solution
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2204740 using p. 2 and 3:

2. Add this line to /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf
Code:
options snd-hda-intel model=dell-headset-multi
3. Reload alsa
Code:
sudo alsa force-reload
pulseaudio -k

and it works for me now but I confirm the problem still exists
