Another reboot from Ubuntu back to Ubuntu and the Headset is still silent, BUT now the speaker sound works. Connecting and disconnecting the headset now has no effect on speaker sound except to mute when the headset is plugged in. I apologize for scattershot troubleshooting. -- You received this
