Also rebooting the system the problem persists. Also by reloading pulseaudio the problem persists. saying "application not found".
I think that the choose to truncate the application name in the Dash is simply
a design bug.
This is very annoying: there is enough space to see the compllete name, instead
of truncate it to the preview image size...
