Hi i'm currently having a similar issue. Maybe its related. It want audio output is switched to hdmi if the cable is plugged in. module-switch-on-connect is loaded (its shown if i use pactl list) but nothing happens. I also use nvidia proprietary driver. I noticed that NO udev event is generated
