[Touch-packages] [Bug 1704650] [NEW] Can't uninstall Firefox in Ubuntu Mate

2017-07-16 Thread carlix
Public bug reported:

Does anyone know why Ubuntu MATE meta-packages require Firefox? A meta
package for a distribution depending on a browser seems strange to me.
For example, on Ubuntu (normal Ubuntu) removing Firefox does not remove
the ubuntu-desktop metapackage. I'm fairly certain that other
distributions based on Ubuntu don't have this problem either. If you ask
me, this seems like a bug we should file and help fix. I think the
correct action here would be for the Ubuntu MATE metapackages to set
Firefox as a "recommended" package rather than a "required" one. I could
be wrong on that though.

** Affects: firefox (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New

** Package changed: network-manager (Ubuntu) => firefox (Ubuntu)

Bug description:

Not working network connection after boot

Status in NetworkManager:

Status in network-manager package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
Directly after boot the network connections are not working. I am
connected and have an IP address, but I cannot establish a connection
  with any Internet server.

I have the impression it is related to thee DNS lookup, which waits
  forever for a result.

Cycling the connection (disconnect->reconnect) seems to fix the
  problem for some time.

I am reporting this against network-manager, but I am not sure if it is
directly in network manager or if it is systemd related.
  With 14.10 everything worked perfectly.

Title:
Not working network connection after boot

Status in NetworkManager:
  Confirmed
Status in network-manager package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
Directly after boot the network connections are not working. I am
connected and have an IP address, but I cannot establish a connection
  with any Internet server.

I have the impression it is related to thee DNS lookup, which waits
  forever for a result.

Cycling the connection (disconnect-reconnect) seems to fix the
  problem for some time.

I am reporting this against network-manager, but I am not sure if it is
directly in network manager or if it is systemd related.
  With 14.10 everything worked perfectly.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1434986] Re: Not working network connection after boot

2015-05-09 Thread carlix
I`ve noticed that the network-manager was updated but I finally realised that
SYSTEMD was the real problem because when I tested 15.04 alpha I hadn`t any
problems but when I received a update the network problem began.
I supose that SYSTEMD was updated and the problem started.
