Bug description:
SRU: update python3.10 to the 3.10.5 release in 22.04 LTS

we are doing a test rebuild of 22.04 main to check for regressions.

  test rebuilds at

https://people.canonical.com/~ginggs/ftbfs-report/test-rebuild-20220728-jammy-jammy.html

https://people.canonical.com/~ginggs/ftbfs-report/test-rebuild-20220728-jammy-gcc-jammy.html

the first one is the reference test rebuild, the second one the
rebuild using updated binutils, GCC and python packages.

  Analysis:

regressions on riscv64 (caused by enabling the tests) are:

  abseil
  adsys
  colord
  dovecot
  glib-networking
  glibc
  gnome-bluetooth3
  gnome-control-center
  google-perftools
  json-glib
  libfprint
  libgdata
  memcached
  mir
  openvswitch
  ovn
  pmdk
  power-profiles-daemon
  strace
  swtpm
  vim

devscripts is not a regression, introduced by a custom dpkg-
  buildpackage wrapper.

binutils and python3-stdlib-extensions are superseded which are part
  of the planned updates.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1967995] Re: [USB-Audio - Logitech G930 Headset, playback] Underruns, dropouts or crackling sound

2022-04-13 Thread Julio Cesar Gazquez
I have the same problem using a a Logitech H390 on kernels newer than
-35.

Also, I think this could be a dupe or at least related to Bug #1966091
(please note that in the comments people there talks about USB connected
audio devices).

Bug description:
I've experienced this strange issue 4-5 times after OTA-12. It seems pretty
random and is hard to reproduce.
When I get an incoming call, the screen turns on, the incoming call pop up
appears, but there is no sound at all even though the phone is not in silent
mode (and also the speaker volume is not set too low). I can accept this call
and keep conversing as usual.
Once I asked the same caller to call me once again after a few minutes, that
time the phone rang as expected.

  Device: E5, OTA-12, stable channel

I can provide necessary logs if this happens again. Which ones should
  I gather?

  Possibly related to bug #1614943.

UPDATE: As mentioned in comment #7, it seems the phone rings for a
fraction of a second and then the sound pauses abruptly.

Title:
Bluetooth devices (Jabra BT250, Audi A3 car kit) can not be connected
  with BQ Aquaris 4.5

Status in Canonical System Image:
  In Progress
Status in bluez package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed
Status in ofono package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  STEPS:
Requirements: Aquaris E4.5, Jabra BT250 blue tooth handset device (rather old
one supports blue tooth 1.1 and therefore I thought should be no issue) or Audi
car kit (A3 2012 model)

  1. Put Jabra BT250 into receiving mode
  2. Phone searches automatically every 15 - 30 seconds for a new blue tooth
device
  3. Phone finds Jabra BT250 and asks for pairing code
  4. Enter code into phone
  5. Jabra BT250 automatically exits the pairing mode (which is a sign that
pairing should have worked)
  6. Phone looses connection to Jabra BT250
  7. Manual reconnection via phone works (shows Jabra BT250 as being connected)
but ignores the device

Same behaviour with Audi car kit (Audi A3, 2012 model)

  EXPECTED:
I expect that the blue tooth kits work similar to my Seat Alhambra (also 2012
model) where the blue tooth pairing etc. works great (except some bugs which
are already filed).

  ACTUAL:
No connection to the blue tooth device

  VERSIONS:
  OS-Build-Number: 25
  Ubuntu-Image: 20150825.1

  POSSIBLE ROOT CAUSE:
Is this issue also solved as soon as bluez5 is implemented? When will this be?

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1643869] Bluetooth wirh Citroen C4

2017-01-06 Thread Cesar Herrera
In the past I said I wasn't able to pair the phone with a Citroen C4 and I
talked to you about it.
I have reflashed the phone in Windows deleting personal data to an early
OTA (I don't remember now).
I was able to pair the phone to the car. I tried to upgrade but it was no
possible, so I upgraded in Windows to another OTA mantaining the personal
data. Then it was possible to to upgrade to OTA 14. The car continues
pairing. But when I receive or make a call it appears in the screen of the
car "SILENT" or something like that in Spaish and nor me nor the other
person ear anything.
I don't know how to solve it.
Cheers,
Cesar

Regularly on incoming calls, there is no ringtone or just a click.
Apart from that, the notification is displayed, I can answer the call
  normally.

Phone is not muted, sound is close to the max, and if I reboot it

When I enable GPS only, Today-Scope still defaults back to IP address

and when I set location in The Weather Channel app it defaults back to
IP location when I switch back to Today-Scope.

not hear the conterpart and the counterpart could not hear me).

  Since yesterday I am on:

  current build number: 259

With OTA9 I did not have the issue. I have attached my logs. I have
enabled the following bug-settings for bluetooth:

  sudo sed -i 's/exec \/usr\/sbin\/bluetoothd/exec
  \/usr\/sbin\/bluetoothd -d/g' /etc/init/bluetooth.conf

  sudo sed -i 's/--start/--start --log-level=debug/g'
  /usr/share/upstart/sessions/pulseaudio.conf

I have modified the line in ofono.override to:

  exec ofonod -P -d provision,udev*,dun*,smart*,hfp_bluez5,stktest,sap

I hope my reporting helps to trace down this issue.

Status in Unity:

Bug description:
Without noticible cause the brightness of the screen of my laptop is
no longer adjustable and stuck at the lowest level. Both the hotkey on
my keyboard and the brightness submenu in the system settings no
longer show any reaction to changes (i.e. key pressing and using the
  regulation bar in the menu).

The issue persists accross reboots which makes the main screen of my
laptop unusable and it necessary to plug in an extra monitor!

I had this issue on an unknown version of Ubuntu 14.10 and the
  installation of `indicator-brightness` (https://launchpad.net
  /~indicator-brightness/+archive/ubuntu/ppa) and setting the brightness
in it once to the lowest and then to the highest level fixed the issue
(persistently accross reboots), but now it doesn't show any reaction
neither (I adjusted the package soucres to point to `trusty` after
  `sudo add-apt-repository ppa:indicator-brightness/ppa` in order to be
able to install in 14.10). When the issue occured `indicator-
  brightness` was not installed.

I could only fix the issue by rebooting and entering BIOS/EFI menu and
  using brightness hotkeys there.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1302090] Re: Dell Alienware 14, Speaker sound output is mono until a headphone jack is plugged

2014-08-03 Thread Cesar
Yes, it works!

Things look a little bit different in alsamixer, though. Now instead of
'Enabled' it displays 'Line Out' in the auto-mute feature, but the
functionality remains intact. Also 'Speaker' is set to 0 and cannot be
changed. I'm attaching a screenshot as reference.

I haven't seen any other unwanted effects from the override. I'm able
to adjust the volume using the fn keys and from the sound settings, as
always. Will report back if I find something else.

Thanks for your help guys.

  Description:Ubuntu Trusty Tahr (development branch)
  Release:14.04

  Package: linux-image-extra-3.13.0-19-generic

When playing audio through speakers on my Alienware 14 2014, the sound
output is in mono until I plug a headphone in any of the two available
headphone jacks (obviously, the auto-mute option must be disabled).
When I do so, the sound starts to play in stereo.

I would love the sound output to be stereo by default and not be
forced to plug anything to achieve that.

Attached is the alsa-info.sh output for my machine.
