[Touch-packages] [Bug 1507370] [NEW] VoIP doesn't work

2015-10-18 Thread qduaty
Public bug reported:

At least this particular VoIP application does not work:
https://webrtc.sipthor.net/ - object NavigatorUserMediaError when making
a call and error 486 when answering. The application itself is working
fine on Firefox. As of now, there is no known VoIP application for
Ubuntu Phone (except, of course, linphone text and X11 versions -
unfortunately both useless), and I believe it would be a good idea to
implement it in the browser because such a feature in a phone OS makes a
big difference, as the device is specifically designed for the purpose
of talking.

** Affects: webbrowser-app (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1442216] Re: Cannot call numbers received in SMS

2015-07-12 Thread qduaty
It seems to work now (Ubuntu 15.04 r23) but there is no link for a
number if there's a URL in the same message. In such case, the URL has a
link but the number is rendered as plain text.

Title:
Cannot call numbers received in SMS

Status in messaging-app package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
Some SMS contain numbers of sufficient length that are obvious phone numbers
(some even start from the + sign) but cannot be called from the application.
They should be clickable, same way as URLs, which are recognized correctly. Or
even better, Messaging app should search for possible owners of these numbers
in Contacts app and give choice: open contact or call the number. There are two
well known scenarios involving sending phone numbers through SMS:
  1. A person sending a number to another person (a mutual friend)
  2. Carrier notification about a missed call.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1445035] [NEW] Poor quality of photos - consider the use of software jpeg

2015-04-16 Thread qduaty
Public bug reported:

Image quality on the bq aquaris phone is relatively low even on the
highest quality setting. Numerous compression artifacts are visible like
on pictures taken with a cheap Chinese tablet. On the other hand,
imagemagick convert takes 2s on this CPU when converting 8 MP bmp file
to jpeg. So please consider using software jpeg for the highest quality
setting.
