[Touch-packages] [Bug 2020183] Re: Xorg crash

2023-05-19 Thread vinibali
All the time the displays got relocked again, right after I unlocked it with my
password. Some parts of the desktop can be seen for a moment in the meanwhile.
Right after that, it shows the "This screen is locked" message with a padlock
and turns into black and shows me the errors.
So for the first time, I can't unlock the display successfully, but for the 2nd
time it works.
Apart from that it also happens, that I won't get back the login screen after
the session has been locked. Super strange.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1848123] [NEW] Xorg freeze

2019-10-14 Thread vinibali
Public bug reported:

Hello there!

I have an HP 840 G5, with an external docking station (HP USB-C Dock G4). All
the input and output devices are connected to this docking station"
- display on Displayport (x2)
- ethernet
- keyboard
- mouse
After I turn on the machine in the morning (probably from S3 sleep), it just
blinks the displays for a few moments, than it turns to black for seconds and
this is an endless loop. If I reconnect the docking station I can get back one
of the displays to life, but the other one remain in sleep state.
In the meanwhile after each of these problems, the intel_pstate driver seems to
fail, all the processors cores are clocked to 3.6GHz.
If I reboot the machine, both the screens are usable again and the intel_pstate
driver is able to change the freqency.
Kernel version 5.0.0-23 was not able to lower the frequency at all, I had to
use the ondemand scheduler.
I found these lines for about 5 days in a previous dmesg log.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1012081] Re: util-linux needs updating to 2.24.2

2014-08-19 Thread vinibali
i tried Ivan's util-linux package and the gparted, gnome disk utility are able
to get the uuid from a f2fs partition. so looks like blkid is working properly.
i tried many times to compile my own util-linux, but i always had to chroot the
system :)
nice job!

Bug description:
Applications in the default desktop - specifically gnome-disk-utility
  - depend on behaviour only introduced in util-linux 2.21+.
Specifically if you select Show in user interface in mount options,
it adds the mount option x-gvfs-show to the mount options in
/etc/fstab. Mounting of this mount point then fails because the option
