I'm facing the same problem ... It seems only drag-mouse-cursor is affected.
Changing resolution as suggested above doesn't work for working with gmaps. The cursor is always corrupted ... First time it happened was after inserting two Radeon HD5450 graphics adapters and xrandr-ing resolutions for a three monitor setup.
