@sohail right, the HDMI is part of my Nvidia card, so it is not built
into the motherboard.
@Daniel, I have tried with the latest mainline kernel. Still no luck.

One thing you may want to try is the linux-oem kernel, which is based off 5.6.x:
sudo apt-get install linux-oem-20.04
