The Microphone port never has and does not work. However. the output and line out ports work. 2) Command "apt-cache policy pkgname" returned "N: Unable to locate package pkgname" 3) I expected the microphone to work when plugged it in the port and used a programme that required audio input like skype. 4) The port was dumb. I tested the head-set on a different computer.
