[Touch-packages] [Bug 1186754] Re: Use icon theme for starred icons

If Software Center would use these theme icons, it would provide more consistency with other apps that use starred rankings and should simplify the code (softwarecenter/ui/gtk3/widgets/stars.py). The icon names are starred semi-starred semi-starred-rtl non-starred (Although we may need to backport the semi-starred icons for the 'gnome' theme since those are missing: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/689098) I'm adding a ubuntu-themes task to this bug as you may want to move the existing star icons from softwarecenter/ui/qml/ to that package. [Touch-packages] [Bug 1186754] Re: Use icon theme for starred icons
Still the case in 14.04: the USC star icons are different from the standard ones seen in Rhythmbox (for example), but the standard ones are too nasty to use. ** Changed in: software-center (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to ubuntu-themes in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1186754 Title: Use icon theme for starred icons Status in Ubuntu theme: Incomplete Status in software-center package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Status in ubuntu-themes package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: As of GNOME 3.8 in Saucy, the gnome icons themes ('gnome', symbolic, and HighContrast) provide star icons. [Touch-packages] [Bug 1186754] Re: Use icon theme for starred icons
Software Centre was replaced a while ago by GNOME Software, so this bug might not be applicable any more. But also... Thank you for reporting this bug to Ubuntu. Ubuntu 13.10 (saucy) reached end-of-life on July 17, 2014. See this document for currently supported Ubuntu releases: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Releases We appreciate that this bug may be old and you might not be interested in discussing it any more. But if you are then please upgrade to the latest Ubuntu version and re-test. ** Changed in: software-center (Ubuntu) Status: Triaged => Incomplete ** Changed in: ubuntu-themes (Ubuntu) Status: Triaged => Incomplete ** Changed in: ubuntu-themes Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to ubuntu-themes in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1186754 Title: Use icon theme for starred icons Status in Ubuntu theme: Incomplete Status in software-center package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Status in ubuntu-themes package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: As of GNOME 3.8 in Saucy, the gnome icons themes ('gnome', symbolic, and HighContrast) provide star icons.
