[Touch-packages] [Bug 1222356] Re: WARNING: Couldn't register with accessibility bus: Did not receive a reply.

2020-09-04 Thread Vasiliy Koshechkin
All GTK programs are broken. Same message:
x@warp:~$ export LANG="ru_RU.UTF-8"; leafpad
(leafpad:18666): dbind-WARNING **: 23:43:20.266: Couldn't register with
accessibility bus: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote
application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the
reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken.

Geany, Leafpad, Gedit and Opera save file dialogs don't allow Russian language
input. Qt programs works fine. Launching with sudo fix problem:
x@warp:~$ sudo leafpad
(leafpad:28016): GLib-GIO-CRITICAL **: 00:27:57.489: g_dbus_proxy_new:
assertion 'G_IS_DBUS_CONNECTION (connection)' failed

Dbus is running.
x@warp:~$ echo $DBUS_SESSION_BUS_ADDRESS
unix:path=/run/user/1000/bus
x@warp:~$ echo $DBUS_SESSION_BUS_PID

(empty string)

This happen after upgrade from 16.04.6 to 18.04.5 . Kernel 5.4.0-42-generic. I
have old kernels and can test with it. PC on MSI P67S motherboard, no suspends,
just XscreenSaver.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1222356] Re: WARNING: Couldn't register with accessibility bus: Did not receive a reply.

2020-06-15 Thread ^rooker
I know this thread is ancient and marked as fixed, but I just ran into
the exact same error message on a recently installed Xubuntu 18.04.4,
opening Thunderbird (1:68.8.0+build2-0ubuntu0.18.04.2) after resuming
from suspend:

Quote from "~/.xsession-errors":

```
(nm-applet:26135): Gtk-WARNING **: 18:53:46.496: Can't set a parent on widget
which has a parent
(wrapper-1.0:26197): GLib-CRITICAL **: 18:53:57.168: Source ID 174 was not
found when attempting to remove it
Gtk-Message: 18:55:17.424: GtkDialog mapped without a transient parent. This is
discouraged.
(exo-open:329): dbind-WARNING **: 18:55:21.445: Couldn't register with
accessibility bus: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the
remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy
blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection
was broken.
(exo-helper-1:331): dbind-WARNING **: 18:55:21.459: Couldn't register with
accessibility bus: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote
application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the
reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken.
JavaScript error: chrome://coloredfolders/content/coloredfolders.js, line 118:
TypeError: elm is null
```

I haven't done anything fancy on this system that I'm aware of, so
someone else might also get this warning message on a recent setup?

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1222356] Re: WARNING: Couldn't register with accessibility bus: Did not receive a reply.

2019-03-26 Thread and003
I started receiving this warning when I installed HPLIP on my computer,
and it appears to be preventing me from sending faxes. I also think it
caused me to receive the 'hp-uiscan is not supported for this device'.
