That mp3 file is causing problems with GStreamer itself. To replicate, simply do apt-get install gstreamer1.0-plugins-base-apps gst-discoverer-1.0 Existance.mp3 On the desktop it works just fine. On the phone this happens: Analyzing file:///home/phablet/mdtest/Existance.mp3 Done discovering

I graphed the memory use from the time I launched the music player until it completely locked up the phone and needed a hard reset. During the test, I was attempting to seek within the current song every 5 to 10 seconds, which currently causes the music player to fail at seeking and then skip to
