I've created a bug report against udisks2 (before I found this bug report):

You wrote that the problem is that gvfs ignores the drive. But maybe you
can try to mount in manually with udisks2 and check if we are
encountering the same

I have the same problem with a normal session.
a manual mount like :
sudo mount -t exfat /dev/sdb1 /media/exfat /media/manual
works fine.
this goes for all Gopro3 64GB cards (exFAT formatted)

The policy in question is shipped in the lightdm profile, but the
reporter did not mention this as a problem with the guest session
specifically. I would be surprised if this ever worked in the guest
session.
luca, are you trying to access the SD card from the guest session or
from a normal login
