I've created a bug report against udisks2 (before I found this bug report): https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/udisks2/+bug/1416794 You wrote that the problem is that gvfs ignores the drive. But maybe you can try to mount in manually with udisks2 and check if we are encountering the same

The policy in question is shipped in the lightdm profile, but the reporter did not mention this as a problem with the guest session specifically. I would be surprised if this ever worked in the guest session. luca, are you trying to access the SD card from the guest session or from a normal login
