[Touch-packages] [Bug 1469220] Re: [dialer] Dialer should allow me to block nuisance calls
Hi. This feature was present in the old not-so-smart phones and in some fixed phones as well. Back in the analog days you had to have a subsription to a caller-id service. Now with IP-telephony and mobile telephony we can say it is an expected feature of any device that calls itself a phone. Thank you. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to dialer-app in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1469220 Title: [dialer] Dialer should allow me to block nuisance calls Status in Ubuntu UX: Triaged Status in dialer-app package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: Title says it all. [Touch-packages] [Bug 1469220] Re: [dialer] Dialer should allow me to block nuisance calls
There's a number, who calls me a lot in the early hours, and I can't block it, because this feature is missing, as a workaround I need to turn off my phone every evening, which is not the best solution. :) Is there any plan to support this in an upcoming OTA release, like OTA-14? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to dialer-app in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1469220 Title: [dialer] Dialer should allow me to block nuisance calls Status in Ubuntu UX: Confirmed Status in dialer-app package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: Title says it all. [Touch-packages] [Bug 1469220] Re: [dialer] Dialer should allow me to block nuisance calls
I don't think the experience of nuisance calling is understood if this issue is marked as "low" or "wishlist". Does that mean there is no one able to work on it, or that it is not important? Nuisance calls are very disruptive and abusive. The device should be protective of the human or allow the human to protect itself, but right now it is a direct line for abuse. There is a concern of lack of resources in this project. I believe we could recover some of those resources, if we weren't disturbed by nuisances, such as phone calls and spam messaging.
Unfortunately this design never made it to the “UX spec”, and the visual spec is now a 404. The attached mockups look reasonable, though perhaps “Block” and “Delete” should be buttons instead of list items. Certainly the icons shouldn’t be on the opposite end from the labels, because that would look weird in wide screens (even in landscape mode). ** Changed in: ubuntu-ux Status: Fix Committed => Confirmed ** Changed in: ubuntu-ux Assignee: Olga Kemmet (olga-kemmet) => Matthew Paul Thomas (mpt) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to dialer-app in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1469220 Title: [dialer] Dialer should allow me to block nuisance calls Status in Ubuntu UX: Confirmed Status in dialer-app package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: Title says it all.
