I just figured out that if you move a certificate file which is needed for a certain WLAN it just won’t work anymore without a specific message. Would be much easier with a little error message like CA- Certificate missing or something like that. Just happened to me. Took a while to fix it. That explains it well, thank you. When I said just to put up the auth dialog again, I meant that Ubuntu should do that when authentication fails because of the missing certificate. Hi Matthew, thank you for your response. Here’s my configuration: Xubuntu 14.04 LTS Lenovo Thinkpad T61 The certificate was in the home directory and I moved into /home/documents. I already fixed the problem as you described. I just did not remember this may be the problem at first. So this report is more like suggestion than a bug. Before I selected the certificates new location the network tried to connect to the WLAN but failed without error message so I did not know what the actual problem was. Hope I expressed myself clearly. Do you need any more information? Thanks CaptainPlanet. Can you be more specific about steps to reproduce the bug? For example, whether you're using Ubuntu on a phone or a PC, what version it is, and where the certificate file was.
