[Touch-packages] [Bug 1477312] Re: [browser] Should add a popup menu on the tab itself to open a new tab to the right of it (like chrome)
** Changed in: ubuntu-ux Importance: High => Medium -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to webbrowser-app in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1477312 Title: [browser] Should add a popup menu on the tab itself to open a new tab to the right of it (like chrome) Status in Ubuntu UX: Fix Released Status in webbrowser-app package in Ubuntu: Fix Released Bug description: There is no way currently to open a tab to the right of an existing tab. Pressing the "+" button always adds it at the end. It's desirable to be able to add next to the current tab. Chrome solves that by putting a context menu on the tab itself with "New Tab" option on it. We should consider the same. --- --- --- --- --- UX Comment: I agree that Bill's suggested subset is the minimum we'd require for this useful feature. I have added a page to the spec accordingly: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1ggKmkxUFR5xCBcvkjJ4On9b4iKzEqcycz4hjc16tBGo/edit#slide=id.gc53fbdb3a_2_0 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-ux/+bug/1477312/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~touch-packages Post to : touch-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~touch-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

@james Could you provide some feedback about this? My vote is to basically support a subset of what Chrome displays on it's right click menu on tabs. I think the following are the most important: New tab Reload Close tab ** Changed in: webbrowser-app (Ubuntu) Status: New = Confirmed ** Changed in: webbrowser-app (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = Medium ** Changed in: ubuntu-ux Importance: Medium = High -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to webbrowser-app in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1477312 Title: [browser] Should add a popup menu on the tab itself to open a new tab to the right of it (like chrome) Status in Ubuntu UX: Triaged Status in webbrowser-app package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: There is no way currently to open a tab to the right of an existing tab.
