Public bug reported: In the download page, a "Sorry there arent currently any apps installed that can handle this type of content" message from the peer picker is displayed when one clicks on a downloaded content (e.g. pdf) for which no handler app is installed.
If one installs such apps for the corresponding content (e.g. beru for pdfs), and retries to open the document w/o closing the browser the same message appears which is not very pleasant and puzzling (from the user's perspective) as a behavior. ** Affects: webbrowser-app (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to webbrowser-app in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1550536 Title: [webbrowser] Forced to reopen browser to make it aware of newly apps installed that handle downloaded content type Status in webbrowser-app package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: In the download page, a "Sorry there arent currently any apps installed that can handle this type of content" message from the peer picker is displayed when one clicks on a downloaded content (e.g. pdf) for which no handler app is installed.
