You have been subscribed to a public bug: In Ubuntu 18.04 udev mounts MTP devices (mine is Google Pixel C tablet) in read-only mode by default, so that files cannot be copied over to the device.
One has to manually create a udev rule to mount the device in read-write mode. This is rather user-unfriendly. Make udev mount MTP devices in read-write mode by default. ** Affects: systemd (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Confirmed ** Tags: mtp udev -- udev mounts MTP devices in read-only mode. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1778900 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to systemd in Ubuntu. -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~touch-packages Post to : touch-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~touch-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
