  I no longer seem to be getting audio on my laptop, and only "Dummy

Maybe you don't install the codec driver's module (ls

hardware problem on codec?

  "Dummy Output" -- built-in audio not detected

Bug description:
  I no longer seem to be getting audio on my laptop, and only "Dummy
  Output" shows up in the sound settings dialog. This sounds similar to
  LP #1781294 (including the same PCI device), though that seems to have
  been marked expired.
